E3 Dark Souls 2 Live Streaming today 5:40pm

Could it be!? They scraped pyromancy all together and just moved it back to the Sorcery branch?
Well, no real problem for me. This is a buff to Sorcery and the elimination of an imbalanced magic.

Also, Tanimura confirmed no next-gen versions (for now at least)

I've noticed a couple of other things in that video:

-Stairs no longer necessarily have an "end" as seen when the player climbs a ladder down, but then falls because the length of the ladder did not reach the ground. You can expect more ladder tricks.
-Sorcery got the much deserved "Melee Spells". If Pyromancy was removed, then it is to be expected that Sorcery can now play at close-range, as shown when the player unleashed a 270 degree slash by transforming their catalyst into a beam of light.
-I think backstabs were shown. The only animation shown consisted of a right swing into the neck area, quickly followed by a left swing to the same spot. The duration of the animation was quick, so backstabs have less invincibility frames (if any).

It also seems like Dark Souls II has a more technologically advanced land than Lordran. Look closely at the enemies when the dual wielding warrior is shown. They have helmets that look like something worn by troops of Great Britain at the time when gunpowder weapons became more common:


Perhaps we'll see some enemies with muskets, cannons, or pistols somewhere down the line. This game is also advancing in the graphics department. I mean it looks SO AMAZING!

If we can get more trailers this year, I'll be happy to use them to stall myself for the long wait.
