Sent you gotta watch the IGN review - they focus on the 4 classes. Clearly dual wielding is for a specific character class. That guy is a temple knight.. Am so stoked for this game!

I was talking about the karate kick that AI knight did to the player.
Love it.
I saw the IGN vid and the only thing that interested me was the aesthetics of the dueal wielder. Do want them clothes! That's exactly what I want to wear, but in DkS that damned Black Cleric set looks like a pants from 80's instead of a coat.

the sword spell... fun! also pyro is now tied to a stat, balance achieved! and the greatsword and axe movesets look awesome!

Karate kicking horsemen statues are wicked. I loved the spell sword, but what I thought was brilliant was the magic sword spell which when cast was like a great sword swing! Awesome melee spells!

IMO, the poise thing was needed, but I thought it was simply done wrong in DkS. It's hopefully going to be revised and much better in DkS2.

Sounds like you're disappointed that poise will be back. Don't know what to tell you except, that's your opinion and you're certainly entitled to it. I don't see it as a huge issue.

I do not think there is a right way to do poise. If there is, I am doubtful that FROM could engineer it.

The thing is, it's already been done and FROM was the one who did it. They just decided to scrap it when they made Dark Souls for some reason. The way it was in Demon's Souls (and it DID EXIST IN THAT GAME) made it purely a niche defensive mechanism for playstyles that would actually need it.

Somebody got poise stabbed far too many times in here.
Played DeS PvP? Damn am I glad to have Poise, even broken one.
Never again have to get push-locked to death, nor have to do it myself.
Also, it's a WAY better system than to have hyper armor on big fat Str weapons like DeS had.
