    So, in the last few months, a couple allies of the Gremlins have inquired as to joint events.  As our covenant and theirs were already engaged in things and DSII mania was sweeping the nation at #1 on the charts (of rumors) it wasn't a great time to get all complicated over here.  


    But now, DSII is forever and a day away, the Gremlins ain't up to jack, summer vacation for many is starting now or soon and let's face it.......girls just wanna have fuh un. Girls just wanna have fuh unnnnn!  Boys too (let's not forget that Ms. Lauper)


    With that in mind I would like to engage the forum in shenanigans and spectacularness the likes of which we've NEVER seen! 

    How? By not just a two or three covenant event but ALL OF US!!!

    The purpose of this thread is to gauge a few things: 


    1. Who wants in?


    2. What date range works best for each covenant?


    3. Establish a general framework for "lore" or concept

    -Star Harmonia
    -Karmatic Gremlin Gang
    -The Pantheon
    -Sunlight Coalition (confirmed following twisted arm)
    -Messengers of Velka
    -Paths of the Dragon's Cabal
    -Cult of Friendship 
    -Exiled of Ariamis
    -Children of the Grave


    The Gremlin response to these questions will be my next post.......

    Wow!  That sounds like a great idea Skarekrow13!  You and your Gremlins have really piqued the interest of me and the Gremlins.  I think we'd like to be the first to respond to your questions and start this chat off right!

    Let's see: 

    Number 1: Shoot we're in!  We'd love to bring our infamous pranks to this grand a stage.  

    For your second question, well I think July or August (a weekend probably) makes the most sense.  A lot of people not in school or at work, we really had fun with the BBQ of chaos event last year (all four of us who participated anyway) and it's not too far away where people will forget about it.

    Now for the toughest question you put out there ol' Skare ol' pal!

    I think there's two formats that would work well.  We could develop a convoluted and crazy backstory that opens up a mass event for everyone.  Like you know, the Gremlins or someone invades the area of a more territorial covenant and then everyone chooses sides for whatever reason.  That'd just be a war with everyone throwing their flavor into the combat. That could work.

    Or, the other approach is to basically make NO STORY behind it.  We could have the 1st ever Covenant Swap Meet or Job Fair.  Under this model, each covenant would be responsible for an activity or two kind of like a "booth" at a Swap Meet or Job Fair.  Then all participants could float between booths and experience what each covenant has to offer.  


    For example: the Gremlin booth might consist of a few Gremlins hosting in high traffic areas.  Visitors to our "booth" would request to be summoned and then we'd host the area under Gremlin guidelines.  AKA: funny cosplay, messing around with invaders in hilarious ways, party themes like last year's BBQ, that sorta crap.

    July is a bad month for me since I will be moving and may not have internet for the first couple of weeks.

    As long as prisms are  not banned from the event, I'm open to suggestions.

    Thanks for the early responses, I think it would have been smart if I had added a list of interested covenants.  To make peer pressure more palpable that is.  Off to edit post number one

    I laughed hard at the second post replying to yourself. That said the Pantheon is interested. Especially if it's a job fair, so we can set up a booth with brochures, dvd's and then say "NO!".

    Sunlight Coalition wants in! We may all be from the different corners of the... Dark souls earth... but we all love to party hardy.

    Some time in june or July makes the most sense.

    Lore? LORE?! Gremlins and Knights of Lordran partying? Sure it could happen.

    The Coalition could be in charge of the gambling, drinking contests, and some strange sports from the east.

    Sumo wrestling with Smough gear in a circle of prism stones, first one to get knocked out loses.

    Actually we came up with a few cool sports.

    Archer competitions, 2 red phantoms shoot at 1 host from the same distance with a hawk ring, one with poison arrows, and one with fire, we would know who hit the host first.

    Dragonslayer greatbow fun in the crystal caves and Anor Londo rafters, nuff said.

    The knights brought Caestus boxing. First one to be knocked out is obviously the loser.

    We bet with sunlight medals or whatever you gremlins trade.

    The "Fair Concept"  is new and original!! And I'm all for originality! applause

    I call for Exiled Members to post a "yay or nay" on the "Fair Concept" in this thread.
    If "yay" then throw out some ideas!

    It goes without saying (but I say it anyway :razz:). War is "off-the-table".
    Jans has already PM"d me and has a good idea. Jans, if you would post your idea here...that would be cool. winking

    I will abstain from any commitment until I see if there is interest elsewhere in the Exiled Covenant. cheers

    But voting is fine here too.  I'm lurking a lot and this thread will get scrapped once we have a decent idea of what we want to do.  The Swap Meet/Job Fair idea seems to be popular so that's the current front runner.  I think it'll be a lot more fun that just combat anyway.  There's a lot of creativity to share.

    Nope, don't usually do business that way.

    As some well know I am not adverse to "Bold decisions" but they are reserved for...hmmm, really serious stuff. This is all about fun! Ordering people to have fun seems...counter-intuitive. lol!
