To be completely honest, i don't want another Movie, MLP just can't tell an engaging Story let alone for an Hour long Movie .
I would rather have just one more normal Season .

Ever since Star Wars i don't want the past fuly explained .
I'd rather have an Episode about Luna and Celestias relationship, you can't just say "I'm sorry" after your Sister imprisioned you for 1000 Years and everything is fine .
Or maybe an Episode about Celestia where she turns into a Chair for a Day and just watches how everyone is going crazy .

I've always considered Luna and Nightmare Moon as separate characters. She didn't send Luna to the moon, she sent Nightmare Moon. The fact that Luna was tied to Nightmare Moon was unfortunate, but both in the way they look and act as well as how suddenly the "reversion" from NM to Luna happened and how quickly Luna herself was to feel sorry for her actions makes me feel like it was more of an imprisoned by an alternate personality.
For a nerdy reference, think of Doc Oc from Spiderman 2. The actual villain was the AI of the mechanical arms that started tainting the normal character's mind. In the end the normal mind was able to overcome the influence of the invading intelligence and he was able to act as his old self again. Luna is Otto. Nightmare Moon is the mechanical arms. When they defeated Nightmare Moon, they broke any influence Nightmare Moon had completely reverted her to her to Luna.
Celestia was sorry because the two characters being tied together, it was unavoidable to send her sister as well. Luna is okay with it because, having been imprisoned by this evil entity understands why Celestia had to do it.
