Very little beats the OGS IMO.
GLGS doesn't even look like a sword. It's not even sharp.

The OGS is great in PvP though, but I would love to have a dagger made of obsidian.

Yes, the GLGS is a ******* copy of it.
The only difference is the DBS was actually viable, the GLGS is for R1 stunlocks.

Rock can be buffed, already has 480 AR without having to invest another 44 stat points into it, and has a special R2 that is an AoE attack.
Oh, and don't forget dragon abilities.

Of course the OGS is statistically better than the GLGS, it's confusing to see a piece of rock outdo a piece of metal but that's Dark Souls

Instead of using "X > Y" statements, I'll look a bit at it.
GLGS requirements are 20 str and 10 dex.
OGS requirements are 20 str and 16 dex.
GLGS beats it by 6 SLs.
Both have high base AR:

480 for OGS. It obviously cannot scale.
OGS wins base AR.
GLGS wins with level investment.
Both weigh 8, so that's a tie.

Movesets for both are the same except for the R2s. GLGS R2s are generally unusable, while the OGS R2s have much more use.
Looks are based purely off opinion, so that's irrelevant from any perspective other than your own.
The OGS is a very useful choice for Faith or Int builds, as it has viable AR with little stat investment.
The GLGS is a powerful choice in a quality build due to it having the highest AR of the greatswords, if you can get by without R2s.
If for whatever reason you have a muled or NG+ low level character, the GLGS is usable at a lower level, making it useful for those super low level invasions.
All around, the OGS is a more solid choice in my opinion.

Actually, the Bastard Sword is only barely outdamaged by the GLGS, except when two-handed the BS outdamages GLGS.
On top of that, BS weighs 2 units less than GLGS, actually has a viable moveset, and can be buffed. (pretty sure Charcoal Resin makes up for like 10 AR)
GLGS is literally one of the worst greatswords in the game.

I personally feel that there should be at least one relatively in-depth response to a question thread, rather than random opinions. Regardless of how obvious the answer may be to you, it may not be obvious to the person asking the question. It's better to give an explanation than to purely say someone is wrong or mistaken, and not give any actual basis.
