Dual-wielding backstabs?

A big question that came to me all of a sudden.  Do you think dual wielding will increase backstab and critical damage?  I think it'll have to have SOME sort of effect since I get the impression that every weapon get's specific backstab animations, so dual wielding probably has it's own too.

Can you imagine?  Dual-wielding daggers with a hornet ring on?

If the "power stance" increases backstab damage, and there is another Hornet's Ring, and the hitbox/lag isn't fixed...say hello to "Dual Wielding Souls".

Well hey, at least you won't be complaining about spear turtles anymore.

It makes sense to do that since it may be that only shields can parry in Dark Souls II. As the dual swordsman in the demo cannot parry.

The backstab...if we can even call it that anymore...done by the dual wielder in the demo did similar damage to the backstab done by another class. The question remains if the dual wielder used power stance, or no.
