Remember instant cast? Its back...

Darkmoon invades me, giants armor, childs mask, lightning claymore, talisman. We fight, I drop his health to like 100 with my balder side sword, he switch to talisman and spam 3 wog, but I block, nothing special, so he run away and use that Princess guard exclusive miracle to heal everything back, we fight again, I drop his health to 100 again, he runs away, I dodge the first black knight and he cast the same miracle, but I backstab him before the cast is complete. Now, he should had died right? Wrong. I bs for 400 damage and he had FULL health! Really, he barely kneel to use the miracle and his health was full again? Instant cast. He and 2 black knights stunlock me to death.

Those clones are even worse.

hmmm that sucks and I hate people that heal during a fight invaders have nothing to lose

Interesting, I was under the impression they would take longer to cast since they are special, then again I've never used them. Could lag have played a role in this, just make it seem like it was instant but he really did take some time to cast?

I know right? Specially darkmoons!

Just a note, this was on PS3, so no mods/hacks.

yea but it was so strange! First, he invade as darkmoon and use the Princess guard miracle? Second, I know it wasnt lag, because he did on purpose. I was very close to him, almost backstabing him, and he knew that! Still he stop to the use miracle? In theory, it would be suicide. But no, he knew that it would instant heal and survive the backstab.

You caught me as I was typing then I messed up and had to open the page all over again, anyhow yeah that is really really odd, can Darkmoons actually use those two spells? Maybe it was a hacked system, didn't someone else say they fought a guy with infinite health on the PS3 a little while ago?

that is a problem but the sunlight miracle is for coop no need in pvp same healing power as Great heal but that is odd their might be a BS glitch with healing

Pretty sure I recall someone saying something about a PS3 infinite health invader recently. I said something about this once too as I'm pretty sure I ran into one as well. Got invaded in Anor Londo with a pretty good connection, no noticeable lag. I made contact with a Lifehunt a bunch of times and didn't do any damage to the guy. I would still say possibly lag but my bleed bar rose some indicating a strike.

Dude please don't bring up the Darkmoon thing again. Anyway that seems quite counter intuitive as there isn't really any other way to invade as blue apart from Hunter, DM, and GL counter invasisons.

Also are those miracles actually restricted to Princess Guard? I know Bountiful Sunlight is but I dont know about the other.

Yeah they are both PG only, makes me wonder if they were just showing off that they were able to do it cause it's such a waste, quite silly, and plainly stupid. I kind of just want to ask that guy, "the heck are you thinking?"

I actually did damage to him, I saw his health droping and the hit numbers, I can say pretty much if I had avelyn he would be dead.

Doesn't sound like the same mechanic of Demon's which was more of a pivot as I recall.

Demon's was waay worse, but I'm just thinking, if they can instant heal, the next thing would be instant crystal soul spear? This would completely ruin online play

i've had this happen with the forest npc with the same miracle. I think this is why the miracle is restricted to one cov cause of the fast cast time ( i guess the rest of the animation is technically a cooldown)

Yea still don't explain how the darkmoon used it and twice. Maybe the miracle is bugged

I chalked it up to lag but it did seem pretty odd he would get up from a bs and roll once and cast a SS

Came out instantly and 1 shot me...I was surprised.

May have invade as a darkwraith but spawned in as a darkmoon. Now that's a pretty common bug.

Stranger things have happened. I know I've intended to hit a guys world as a DM but came in as a White Phantom.

I actually liked insta-cast in DeS. But, only for Soul Rays. It required skill to pull off effectively, and made mages more competitive. But, for WoG or Firestorm, not so much.

I invaded as a darkmoon and appeared as a white phantom in the painting world the other day as well. Pretty funny actually cause I had just invaded and killed the host a couple minutes before. Lots of confusion from the host when he saw me ran up from the rope bridge as a white phantom and not a darkmoon. So the random glitches that occur sometimes when invading may account for the wrong covenant.

As for the instant casting lets just hope that if it is real that knowledge of it doesn't become to widely spread.

Hey car, as has already been said, he may have been a PG cov member using a cracked red orb to invade and just spawned as a DM, so being able to cast a PG spell is understandable. As for the instant cast.... Lag can do funny things....

Ya, have to agree with Mildred. I have seen glitches and moderations with online people. However your situation would be more so a combination of lags and glitches than mods. I have seen myself being transformed from what i wanted to be summoned to a blue invader, and i have seen times when spells have cast faster than anticipated, either by high dexterity or by lag, or both in many cases.

It is a glitch, to be sure. As a Princess Guard, I can tell you that the two princess miracles are the same as the Sunlight Spear, in which can not function without being in a certian Covenant. For those miracles, the Princess' Guard would be necessary. Perhaps that as he/she invaded you, he was to be a red phantom. However, he popped out as Blue. OR, he wanted to be summoned as a white, but was warped to be a Blue. Either way, it might not have been what he planned, and just took the situation for granted instead of leaving honourably when he saw the mistake, so he was a Cracked Orb Invader.

Strange times for things that are connected by a weak yet strong link, such as the Web. As Dark Souls has many complex systems to Online, it can be said that such glitches can be possible, as the game did not go threw a lot of online patches as others (unlike the bethesda and call of duty games, which are not 'fixed' in some cases).
