Hello,
I am new to the forums, but have been lurking for quite some time.
I consider myself to be pretty darn good at pvp, winning about 80% of my matches while I solo host the forest. However even though I have a strength build aswell, I have trouble countering UGS, GS, and Curved GS.
For UGS I can always menu swap to a spear, or roll bs if they spam r1, but the massive poise damage always trips me up to my death, seeing as toggle escape is one of the few techniques I've yet to learn. Also scared as hell to parry these things, and the rolling poke attacks are deadly in the right hands.
For greatswords since the patch the timing seems different so I fail to catch the parry window on them, that's about my only problem with them.
For curved greatswords I only feel comfortable parrying the roll attack as most roll attacks are predictable. The awkward swing speed often causes me to miss a parry and get sent to stun-lock oblivion.
I switch up my tactics very often to keep pvp fresh, so I am always searching for new, fun ways to counter things since pvp is a big rock/paper/scissors game.
My playstyle is almost always aggressive, and I usually opt for fast roll w/ good poise since I have pumped endurance. Most of the time I use either dex or quality weapons but that changes often.
So I've told you my strengths & weaknesses, how about some advice?
Also, if anyone is down to trade/duel on a sl200 build let me know.
Good day then.
