Hey guys, here is a video showing how hard the Asylum Demon on NG+7 is with just default weapons and armour. It took me at least 30 attempts to clear the tutorial LOL. This is the kind of difficulty that should be standard in my opinion.

I completely agree that this should be standard difficulty. It seems extremely challenging, even to vets. I'd love to make a playthrough like this. Now...just to link this vid to FROM, so they make DkS II even harder.

Standard difficulty should be NG+4. This should be the NG+.

I don't want cheap difficulty where the enemies just deal godly damage and you just have to get over that. I want enemies that are fair but their AIs are cruel. How cool would it be if all the Hollow soldiers waited until you cornered yourself and then swarmed in to attack you?! I know this is just wishful thinking, but it's a nice thought nonetheless.

I think that's the thing everyone realizes. In this, all you have are godly enemies at every corner. This is just a test of how well you have mastered Dark Souls by making odds impossible. You can't be straightforward at all.
You have to abuse the A.I, lure them into death traps and sometimes avoid areas all together to win. I would have much preferred a Black Phantom mode, seeing as anyone rarely gets to play it.

I've got 50 minutes invested at SL1 against Asylum Demon, but I gave up. Maybe I'll try again later. I would really like to get through the Undead Burg at this difficulty.

Only reason why people want the game harder or say it should been harder cause most are veteran players so we no how easy this game is since we done it so much time already the game difficulty is fine and i would like it 2 stay or be a little harder

After giving it some thought. I would rather see Gravelords working on NG, or the Gravelord BPs be tied to something else, that can be done offline. Having a Sin from killing a NPC for example.
BPs raise the difficulty by quite a lot, but you have to wait for NG+ to have them bother you and they require another player to do so, which is quite rare and doesn't last very long. In DeS you had some BPs when you were in PBWT. Something like that would be nice.

Making this the default difficulty would be a verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry bad idea IMO. Any game that is 'difficult' because you get randomly 1-shotted by everything is not difficult, just laborious (Skyrim on legendary difficulty springs to mind - not that Skyrim is a bad game, but the "difficulties" just aren't).
By the way Dibs, the difference between NG+4 and NG+7 is negligible, the difference between NG and NG+ is not.
