I like to believe all girls on the internet to be magic dolphins, because I belive in magic dolphins (what does this has anything to do with this topic is beyond me, so let's leave at it here)

On topic, is it bad if you made a tanky character that looks for backstab (mid roll btw). Because that's what im planning on my next character (as many would hate me for it, i do miss the DWGR old effect)

Or is it impossible to be manly and unmanly at the same time? Well, regardless, I'm going to attempt it

Wether lunar is a male or not is irrelivant to the topic. Its a joke. Can we stop being oversensitive please? Thanks.

    love,
    reasonable people.

Anyways, I most definitely agree with the strategy remarks for slower rolls (and usually heavier weapons.) Its a good idea to have a solid way to shut down magic though, so you wouldn't go amiss with sms or magic barrier (unless you have havels shield)

really just wanted an excuse to put sunlight blade on the obsidian greatsword, i mean come on they went and made it enchantable...

    A Caster's Rebuttal

A blade with a buff is never enough,
I transcend my shield with magic and stuff.

The howls of spite will never shed light,
on your envy of us and all of our might.

Fake crowns of egos are not my slogan,
my head is adorned with the remnants of Logan.
Power from rings is not my thing,
you'll watch me immune as I flip and I sing.

You seek a real man in this war stricken land,
as I calm your fears with a touch of my hand.
You’re dead inside more so than before,
because of my casting of undead rapport.

The fodder who casts the spell of Pursuers,
are useful to me like rats in the sewers.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again,
if you want to survive make magics your friend.

    1) Heavy Armor???

*I know chicks dig dudes with big muscles, but I don't think they find all the chaffing and rashes very attractive. sick
*I can also just take off my robe if she's cold, or "cast a fire". Mage

    2) He-man types...

*So you like the jocks???  Dats cool.  Never pegged you for the "cheerleader type", but hey, whatever makes the world go round right? Lift

    3) Big Swords

*Soooooooo it doesn't matter if the sword is clunky and inefficient....just as long as its "big" huh?
    You're missing out honey. cool

    Manly Layton Build
Ok so you want to be a real man? Well let me tell you this, a real man doesn't only need his fists like in all those Hollywood movies, a real man needs BRAINS too! However only few people have brains like this....Except for one...

GENTLEMAN WHO TAKES CARE OF TWO IDIOTS!

    Convinced? Well good!

Tophat and Longcoat, just because you must be manly doesn't mean you have to lose class!
Havel gauntlets and legs. What? The Professor doesn't wear that? You fool! He has it under his sleeves and boots! It's kinda like Goku only more awesome.
    And now for the weapons!
The Greatsword is all you need, just handle it like a rapier first and then SMASH SKULLS!
The Crossbow is good too, Avelyn is too mainstream. Heavy Crossbow is for manly gentlemen!
The Grass Crest Shield is only for stamina, the Professor doesn't need a silly Anti-Magic shield! He just goes near Magic and Magic goes poof!
An Ascended Flame just in case we forgot matchsticks.
Then Havel's Ring and FaP Ring, we are only using them cuz they look cool on fingers.
Ok, you are done! Now go beat up people and lecture them on Puzzles 101!

The manliest buff I use is Flash Sweat.  First of all -- it makes you sweaty and disgusting.  Second, it lets you tank right through pyromancies.  If you ever want to see someone break and run, just throw on Flash Sweat, shield up, and go straight at them through a great fireball or even a tempest.  Landing a charge move with a great club or greatsword even though you are on fire is pretty amazing to behold.  It's basically this:

Nobody got time to read all this.

I wanted to be a real man! So I took my Black Iron getup, made a 50/10 build, like a real man. Tarkus style! However I ended up failing with weapons.

Damage-wise, best choices are Demon weapons, but god, those things are slow as turtle orgy and can't hit anything that doesn't fatroll. I didn't want to use Man-serpent Greatsword, because it has a moveset way too similar to Claymore. I want a change! I tried more, or less everything Str based and now I understand why everybody uses Zwei, or Large Clubs. Zwei is just super easy to use as long as you watch your timing and spacing. Large Clubs do huge damage, which is only a little lower than those of Demon weapons, while they weight half, or even less of what Demon weapons weight. With their roll R1 AoE, I know think that these weapons should be nerfed. I don't understand how a piece of wood can do more damage than huge axe, or a sword.

On the other hand. If I do manage to actually hit someone with a Demon weapon, they can kiss goodbye to around 800-900 of their HP, but I can't stagger them to land another hit and I'm too slow to connect it to a bs.

My manliness needs more training! silly
