Irony is, the story in dark souls is genuinely straight of the z list- "chosen one" is one of the biggest cliche's in story telling
The only characters that call you chosen are Frampt (not trustworthy whatsoever) and sort-of Oscar (though he doesn't specifically claim you're the chosen, and his dialogue was built in large part with him having interacted with Frampt).
Who made this "chosen one" story, and to what purpose? While the AotA plot is played pretty straight, the main storyline very well might *not* be. After all, the guy who most readily calls us "chosen undead" is perfectly happy accepting us doing whatever we want at the end.
The only Women in this Game with actual titties is an illusion .

Post lordvessel it turns into you having to kill people for their power to use against the final boss- cus thats completely original too
You don't actually get stronger from that though, the idea is actually to use their power to open the kiln and then burn it.
I certainly wouldn't mind absorbing the 4king cheap attacks or the BoC "floor falls out hurrrrrrrr" megaman style!
