What happens to Elizabeth? (slight spoiler)

Does anyone know why Elizabeth (The Mushroon) dies once you have defeated Manus?

Is it something to do with the flow of time? or is there an NPC that is responsible?

i might be wrong but doesn't she only die if you (accidentaly hue hue) kill dusk after the manus fight?

Didn't even know she died, she's always given me some Eli Mushrooms after the Manus fight and stayed.

She died for me. But to be fair, most NPCs do when I start swinging a Great Scythe at them. So she was actually still alive when I made it back that way after killing Manus.

Oh that would be it - i did kill Dusk after the Manus fight. But why should this also extinguish Elizabeth?

am i missing something?

Elizabeth seems to be close knit with Dusk so she might be a little shy conversing with Dusk's murderer.

Ok tested it. I killed Manus ages ago and have Dusk alive. I returned to Ellie to get my dose of shroomies and left, never to return. After reading this thread I decided to go to Oolacile Sanctuary and Ellie's still there, alive and kicking...so to speak.

Maybe Ellies dies if you kill Dusk, or if you refuse her request, even though you still save Dusk. Or maybe you should've been more careful where you swing your thing, or cast your spells. winking

Perhaps Elizabeth is a kind of "familiar" or pet/creation of Dusk.
For being stuck to the wall, she (it?) seems to know a lot about what happened to Dusk so I sayz there minds must be connected.

...or Elizabeth is capable of warping do diferent points in the forest using "Mush Magic".

... or she is carried around by those big daddy mushrooms.
