    I have yet use a RAW weapon, not sure I really see the point there. Do they have any advantage over normal path?


     e.g Basic:
    Demon's Greataxe +15
    		285/0/0/0
    		S/-/-/-
    whereas Raw:
    Raw Demon's Greataxe +5
    		262/0/0/0
    		A/-/-/-
    To me that says go for BASIC every time. Am I missing something ?

    It's for earlier on in the game when you don't have access to chunks or slabs. You can max a raw with shards and large shards. Raw has a high base but crap modifiers so it's good early on. raw is basically like the drake sword, it's great up to a certain point. Never used raw, it was a just a trophy\achievement for me.

    Yeah i remember laughing at my mate when he told me he had a raw uchi. For a noob it'd be great, you don't have to venture to new londo for +15, or down to vamos for a fire weapon or anor londo for lightning. It's certainly better than a +5 and it can be buffed.
