Classic example of seeing what you want to see and establishing preconcieved connective links between them, whether they are bollocks or not.  Give me some time, and I can "prove" that it is, in fact, a Flying Spaghetti Monster that controls reality, and not some fictitious serpent.

He starts with an answer and looks for data to support it.  And, thereby ignoring (intentionally or unintentionally) any contradicting facts.  In this case, a staggering amount of contradicting facts.

Wait, facts are not facts.  Truths are not truths.  Beliefs are not beliefs.  Well, that is, unless you believe him.

A Picard facepalm just doesn't seem to cut it here.  

It thought this guy was legitimately going to tell me something convincing until he brought the lizards into the conversation.

I just skimmed it at first and then saw the picture of a lizard in a robe. I read the first paragraph in that section and clicked out.
