PS4 breaks down live at TGS 2013

What do you guys think? I dont know all the details other than that it was to do with the controller.

Even more evidence that buying release day hardware is a pretty solid lapse in judgement.

I'm sure people will find this as some ammo for a " lol ps4 sux and is terrabad xbone 5ever " argument, and that some will even use this to downplay next gen consoles in general.  But breakdowns happen, that's all I see this as. 

 A mistake happened, its not the end of the world nor does it mean that every PS4 will have the same problem.

how long till a updated ps4 console ?

I dunno. Generally I think waiting a year for a decent catalogue to get released and cheap up is a good idea.. Also then the main problems with the console have been fished out

Ughhh,
do we have that type of patience?

I've had first run PS2, PS3, PSP and Vita.

The 2 went to my mom when I got 3. It still runs as far as I know. The 3 burnt out last October but was run near constantly thanks to Netflix and a toddler. The vita has had zero issues in a year and a half and the PSP...

Has been completely immersed in water, coated in silt and on occasion overclocked a bit and still is mint.

I'll take my chances with a PS4 day one

Also, one console one time is nothing really especially on pre-realease hardware. Remember the 360? its failure rate is upwards of 30%. The ps3's is like 3 percent.

I'm one of the people who will wait a few months before even considering getting one of those consoles. I'd much rather wait a while than waste a lot of my money on a console I either dislike or get a lot of issues with. I have my 360 and PC in the meantime so I should be good for my gaming needs.
