Dark Souls II: Into the Light announced (new comic series)

My wallet is going to hate this series so much next year.

Extreme disappointment. There's still hope depending on what the comic is about, but I feel like this defiles the way the storytelling was done in Dark Souls 1.

If this will just be some harmless action sequences, or if it's a vague, atmospheric experience it'll be fine, but if this offers a regular story that ties in with the game...

I'm hoping that it will have only a small impact on the lore that we'll find in the game. Maybe just focus on one of fallen knights whose armor we'll find sometime within the middle of some rubble or after a fight with a pack of hollows.
