Re: Dragon breath
I believe it does have knockback equal to firesurge or something similar. So on low poise opponents yes.

Re: Dragon breath
It isn't impossible. Just needs to be timely and/or stealthy.
I chased a host up an Anor staircase, (I had pounded him and he was almost dead, so I didn't want him to heal), and sure enough, out came the tin catalyst, the dragon breath, and I was dead, lol.

Re: Dragon breath
Erase their stamina and the use it = kill confirmed.
Don't lock on and use it where they are rolling = kill confirmed.
In a corridor = kill confirmed.

Re: Dragon breath
I have been using it a lot since I joined the covenant and if used correctly, it can actually do some damage. It does seem to do knock back as well, plus it gets points for style.

Re: Dragon breath
I got spammed to death by a pair of dragon heads the other day, breathing on me from either side, me in low poise gear and fooling around with the wrong ring set for what I was trying to do. Yes it knocks back and yes it does damage, though in the end I was killed with a bandit knife backstab.

Re: Dragon breath
which dragon breath? the sorcery or the covanent special attack? caus the covanent attack... if it hits you it'll block lock you if you try and use a shield till your stamina is gone and then the dragon runs up and hits you and you die. and at +3 in the cov it cost less stamina and does more damage too...

Re: Dragon breath
It works wonders in the kiln too. Pvpers tend to try to hide from me by ducking behind dunes when I'm throwing things like Soul Spears at them. Great way to set up for an easy kill as the WDB just arcs right up over the dunes and down the other side. I've also never noticed any knock back, but usually when I hit somebody with it they die, which would supersede the knock back animation

Re: Dragon breath
It's too slow for PvP IMO. I used it for a bit, but quickly became frustrated at the cast time.
I do like it for PvE though simply because you get 20 casts and it does some good damage (compared to 4 casts of CSS)
