But yeah, amazing fights. Storm, way to rock that Murakumo, always nice to see a fellow user of the blade in the pit. Too bad you aren't as good with it as the mighty Tolvo! I mean, it's not like the one time I beat you was because of lag, and that I refused to fight you to keep my victory ratio against you at 100% or anything...Nope, not at all.

Rant, sorry that you got BS'ed by that Random, but he was pretty fun to kill. There were a lot of Darkmoons tonight, I remember one was actually cool and duelled me. I easily...Died to his blade, but the sun was in my eyes at the bottom of Btown!

Also I'm hoping Bull joins the forum, if you're reading this remember whenever I'm on feel free to send me a message about practice fights, and as long as FC isn't going on I'm usually up for it.

It was hopping last night. Great fights . . . except for the last one. King and I took things too far, flapping out shields like that. I mean, come on, we were mirro images. Roll parry, fail, roll parry fail. We had our timing down and were in perfect unison. We both decided that if either of us pulls that crap again, we were going to get backstabbed (as you should do with parry spamming).

Storm and I had some awesome fights. I would rather lose like that than anyway else. Always great playing with someone better than me, where I can learn not to mess up.

People were saying target shields and parries were the new fad. But, kats are still the predominant weapon . . . by far. You'd think I should be good at fighting them by now, but, nope. Keep killing me, and eventually I'll get there.

I only saw one such shield all night, and you were using it Reim haha. I just hope Parry Turtling doesn't become too popular, with you being the only one doing it.

I wasn't parry turtling Heck, many times, my shield isn't even up, as I can parry faster when it was down. I tried not to parry spam (roll parry, etc). I also tried to vary my attacks, but for some reason, that went downhill with king. We both were parry spamming like there was no tomorrow. All of them failing (how's that for irony).

Storm, IIRC had a Target shield. I know King carries one as well.

As I get better at parrying, the less I'll try it, if that makes any sense. It will be more successful if it is more random, and I'll be harder to predict (read: I'll be parried less) with varying my attacks. Harder to beat.

Just don't do it too much on the Dead Anglers like me, you'll be wasting your time.

I had tremendous fun yesterday and I think parries are awesome I just wish I could do them as swiftly as Reim and some others, the GC is so crazy I won some fights with it and baal instructed me on it a bit before the pit got packed(thx Baal), my Int build was the least succesfull but I just need more time to test it, I am makind a glass cannon next.

Without sounding full of myself I pride on my dead angling and WP use and was parried by reim
like it was a piece of cake on one fight, I had so many close ones also with Rant and many others
like epic battles to keep on the edge of your seat.


Reim I hope if you are online you could give me some pointers on parrying although I have parried plenty I noticed I have been doing them at random depending on poise mostly.

Ted u gotta come more often and Bull also, I think he had fun too...you learn alot in FC and it's different from the forest and other places, we also have spar sessions like the ones we had long time ago, so I would definitely encourage you guys to keep coming

Also don't get discourage if you get massacred at first, these guys have been doing this a long time so you gotta feed from their exp.

msgs, i like it a lot but it's easy to parry so i dont use it a lot. i can dead angle with it but its a little slow.

But your damage was really good when you hit, and it was a base or lightning? If you buffed it, that sword would be monstrous.

I was gonna try it out last night, I discovered with my int build that the MGS is actually pretty fun, now I know why I see it everywhere, tried out velka's rapier also
which is cool, the moonlight horn disappointed me, I don't see the point.

Now I gotta go find logan and buy some sorceries, see how much damage the CMW will
do, I have 50int on that build.But I only have 4 att slots because it is mostly for using
magic based weapons and buffs which I had never done before.

Want to do pure casters also for pyro, miracles and sorcery in the future, have a whole array of stuff.

FYI...Dead angle can't be blocked, but it can be parried if it is from the side. Though, I could not parry Storm's murakado even once I figured out he was killing me with thet unlocked dead angle. Had my number last night for sure. It seemed like the fury sword and chaos blade were not even damaging him lol. I went back and got my bkga build so I could match the murakado damage wise but we didn't fight again after that sadly. I hadn't had my butt kicked enough by him and I was asking for more lol.

@Reim-That last match was hillarious. I must have laughed for 5 min afterwards it was so absurd. Too bad nobody had recorded that because that could have been a funny vid if someone had added some circus music to it lol.

@yesuurd it was based, i have 50 str and 30 faith but i havent been buffing lately since i just wanna try weapons i dont use much, i love the msgs imo it is the best gs in the game.

@meri poop as in i was sick and couldnt look at the tv for more than 5 seconds cause my eyes were all irritated.

Guys, I just had a session which started out as parry practice with Mofomey and my brother, we had so much fun.It ended in duels and 2 styles were incredibly fun, one was
knife only fighting and the other dragon bone fist boxing, wish more of you were there to enjoy and share maybe somedays we can all have these types of duel.

i had an awesome fight with green, duel DBF vs dual Claws.

With my 40/40 toon, we can have any kind of duel you want. Wolverine? NP. Shoryuken uppercuts? Awesome. Knife fight? Easy. It would be fun to parry all of them.
