Re: Fight Club SL120 PSN
thank god, but we did land some parries today while dual wielding the dragon bone fists....
Parries are too damn satisfying it's like crack.

I think it would be more fun for him to surprise us with it. Or surprise you, I don't fight people unless I'm pretty sure I can stunlock them.

Yes it is harder to parry without the Target Shield. That's why I use it. Shoryuken fight sounds awesome. We should give it a go.

Re: Fight Club SL120 PSN
Sorry, this isn't really FC related... but I parried a Dragon Greataxe R2 for the first time today! My opponent thought he'd get me with a AoE spell, little did he know it can be parried. Funny part is I missed the riposte, because I didn't think I'd got the parry and rolled away... So I rolled back in and parried his next attack, then landed the killing riposte.
I invaded a lot in Sen's today, and got so many beautiful parries!
Oh... all with my bare fists, of course. It's my troll build that uses a shotel in right hand and a bow in left, but I like to switch out the bow once in a while and parry.

Re: Fight Club SL120 PSN
I love that we're getting so good at them in FC that we actually have to modify our attack styles so as to not get parried!
Then we go to regular PvP and come up against people who never expect to get parried, and they shamelessly spam R1, running-R1s, and rolling-R1s, just begging to get parried.
I will admit that I'm getting so used to not backstabbing, that I never capitalize on the opportunity against random PvPers anymore*, and once in a while I'll get backstabbed myself because I forget to defend myself from it.
*(Just realized that's not entirely true: I like to pivot-backstab people when I'm using my bow--it's so weak, I do it just to troll them!)

Oh yeah, good point! That thing, with a buff, can hit quite hard, too.

Re: Fight Club SL120 PSN
Kinda slow last night. Mo, Agent Orange, and I fought a lot. Rant stopped by for a while too.
I've discovered a new love. The Rapier. It is impressive. The moveset is better than the Estoc, IMO. Harder to parry, R2 is much better. R1 and R2 have slightly different timing, which can make it more effective.
And, ripostes do more damage!

Re: Fight Club SL120 PSN
If you focus on dead angle attacks with your dreaded GScythe, then parries won't happen. Those things can be deadly.

Yay, I spread the word! Hopefully I'll be the first one to summon you for an FC Tarkus, I'll make sure Reim isn't in there to parry you, he's getting a bit scary lately.
