anyone else use the grant for pvp?

i have an sl 120 with 50 str and 30 faith and i use it all the time but i never see anyone else use it, the damage kinda sucks but i love it, it looks so cool. it weights a ton which is why i can never have more than 40 poise wich gets me killed a lot but i dont care as long as i look cool dying, just wondering if there are an other fellow grant users, i know there's two guys in here that use it but that's about it. also it's pretty good for the catacombs and tomb of the giants and i was thinking about making a proper paladin leeroy build for the 200+ FC.

I used it once or twice. I didn't really find it that effective, but the Wrath of Gods secondary attack is pretty decent for catching your opponent off-guard. I found it was easier just to buff a great club with cmw/dmb than specialise a build for the Grant.

I will use it when I'll make my super paladin class Rant. I don't know if I'll use it one-handed though.

@wade that's why i asked if anyone uses it just cause it's cool, with this build i usualy use the DGM with slb since dmb/cmw arent that effective cause everyone has a much better res to magic than lightning.

@wyrm yeah just stop at 40 str, the one handed rolling r1 attack is awesome but like i said it's not tha powerful since everyones magic res is so high, i was actually gonna stop at 46 str becasue i wanted to 1h the DGH which looks freaking awesome and should have an S in str, i cant believe its just a little weaker than the GC. i ended up going up to 50 for the grant since i live it so much.

So i guess i may suspect ur gonna take it in our +200 FC nice! Im gonna play with smouth hammer than vs you!

@green that would be awesome dude. im gonna put all my points into vit, end, str and faith. i wanna have full paladin armor and grant and still be able to medium roll.

i found if im using a great hammer i usally opt for either the large/great club or dragon tooth. i do admit if i had a str/faith i would most likely use grant.

dragon tooth was kind of a letdown for me, i love the large/great club too, the large club has the best set of moves imo. but yeah i have 50 str and 30 just for the grant which is awesome!

i almost always use the large club if im actually using a great club seriously but i often use the dragon tooth as my weapon when im just fooling around. i pretty much only do the rolling r1 attack when using it.

yeah I have a +5 and its ok but awesome when used for fun, much like the dbf. Other I. Use for fun are the dgh, golem axe, bonewheel shield, grant of course and the meat cleaver.

i was just looking at the dmg on a build calculator and your right rant the dmg at 120 isnt great but still good. im also tempted to make a sl200 faith/str build now.

yeah, sl 200 would be a true paladin leeroy build with 50 str and faith.

the paladin npc can't one hand grant though.... also i need to make another str build to lvl 200, no magic just pure power!

i know the first time i saw him trying to one hand the grant and hit the bk was freaking hilarious, i guess paladin leeroy only has 34 str and 50 faith. but yeah a tru badass leeroy would have to be sl200, so you can have 50 str/fai and enough dnd to wear the full leeroy gear and medium roll, i dont wanna fat roll with the grant cause its already sow as it is, except for the rolling r1 attack that the clubs have.
