I just noticed your location skarekrow, I think we are kindred spirits. When I got net flix all I watched for months was MST 300.

Re: Music thread!
One of the few shows that didn't lose its charm with changes in main characters. Probably helped that mike was head writer almost from the beginning

There was a live MST 3000 viewing lasts Fall close to my home. Sadly I could not attend due to school and work.

Re: Music thread!
Indeed, it would appear that a large proportion of the people who have commented so far are rock/metal oriented.

Re: Music thread!
deadagain, that sounds like it woulda been awexome. Please forgive another tangent everyone, but Death Rat is a pretty good book written by Mike, might be worth a look.

Re: Music thread!
Now for myself, even quoting ones that have already been posted:
System of a Down
Rammstein
Avenge Sevenfold
Calvin Harris
Skrillex (A bit, I don't like his attitude and "hipster" status)
Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs
Blind Guardian
Metallica
Apocalyptica
Enter Shikari
David Bowie
Sum 41 (Again, only a few songs)
Infected Mushroom (Genius mixes of instruments)
Noizestorm (Previously Eoin o Broin Music)
The Silent Comedy (Duh)
Deadmau5
And just about everything else. I don't want to bother everyone with a page long list, and so I'll leave, having recommended Infected Mushroom and Noisestorm for the interesting and new take on music. I've probably forgot half of the list though.

Re: Music thread!
I like almost everything with an electric guitar from the 60's onwards, but if I must make a list from my most played bands/albums it would be something like this:
Black Sabbath (w/ozzy)
-
-
-
Kyuss
-
Led Zeppelin
Slayer - The first vinyl I ever bought was Reign in Blood, on release day
Metallica (w/cliff burton)
AC/DC (w/bon scott)
-
Everything else prog/rock/pop/trip hop/easy listening. Impossible to list, and the order also changes from day to day. Also, my avatar is an album cover by High on Fire, if anyone's interested.
I'm a bit surprised that other people listed Kyuss, since it was a bit of an 'under the radar' band when they were active, grunch dominated back then. I'm also into most of the dismantled member bands/stuff as well; qotsa, fu manchu, desert sessions, brant bjork, slo burn, unida, hermano, eagles of death metal.
