I personally like to get their attention, poison arrows is usually enough to do that job and then I back peddle if they move towards me to make them feel strong (which they are 3v1) if I have the space I'll full on run away to see if I can bait one into chasing me far enough that I can have a few seconds of 1v1, if they stick together though I'm pretty much screwed and will flip around hoping to down the host before the others can take me out.

in the kilin, if i can see they already cleared out the black knights, i just target the host and have at him. depends on which character i'm using too. last week I dark mooned with my faith build. it was a 3v1. 3 WoGs later and I walked away untouched. felt great.

As long as there's a little space, I'll toss a Chaos Fireball to keep one side a little closed off them rush the host and try to see if I can take him down quick with a few WoG's. If that fails, I'm usually BS'd at that point anyway

Depends mostly on the environment.
I have won dozens of 2 and 3 on 1's in the small rooms of Anor with Fire Tempest.
If it is a more open environment I try to stay back, lock on the host hit him with some Lloyd's run in close for some combustion, rinse and repeat.

keep pushing them back no letting any of them get behind me that includes having to using the force miracle to stagger them and eliminating one at a time
and it works most of the time

I get whatever shots I can get against whoever I can get. Most 2/3v1 are not tactical and will just rush you expecting an easy win. Using this, the environment, and the fact that even if CSS misses the guy I'm trying to hit it will occasionally hit someone else, I'll spam sorceries then quickly switch to my moonlight greatsword to finish them off.

If it's Kiln, charge straight past them towards Gwyn. Stop on the narrow ledges, just behind the pillar in case they fire spells. Cast TWoP (I keep it on my spell list SPECIFICALLY for situations just like this). Equip Havels Greatshield or Artorias Greatshield and bottleneck them on the ledge. Spam WoG hard, follow up with sweeping weapon attacks to send them off the ledge.

Also a good way to defeat xbox modders.

Target the host, scream "FREEEEEEEDOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!" and charge like a headless chicken. I take it pretty seriously when it's one on one, but I cant really be arsed when I'm outnumbered, I'll just try to take out the host in any way I can and if I fail that's alright with me.

It's all about the environment. Almost every stage has environmental hazards and bottlenecks. There are also typically a handful of mobs that the campers forgot to kill. IMO, there are only a few universal rules for dealing with 2v1 or 3v1: (1) never use a shield; three people will always break your guard and/or backstab you if you try to turtle, and you need to be on the offensive to make sure that the host doesn't heal; (2) target the host; (3) backstab, backstab, backstab. I consider inner strength to be almost a universal rule, but I can imagine certain scenarios when it would be inadvisable.

It is the best strategy! You're invincible while bsing, and if you can OHK them it's even better. I'll often just backstab the phantoms, then take my time with the host. I'd feel too cheap for bsing all 3. But anything's fair when taking out 2 phantoms (especially since they're thinking the exact same thing about you--phantoms think there's no strategy too low to take out an invader, so why should you be the bigger man when they outnumber you?).cheekykunt wrote:invade 3v1?? attempt as many pivot backstabs as possible.

If your bs doesn't OHK the phantoms (most of the time it won't, since co-op phantoms are pretty much geared up like invaders now anyways) then keep switching targets to confuse them. Eventually the host will stick back to heal his phantoms, and that's when you just rush for him. He will be the weakest link anyways, and he'll just have isolated himself trying to help his phantoms!

Switching targets is a good tactic, it confuses the hell out of phantoms as to where you will go next. Still, I usually Ricard's Rapier, Sunlight Blade, WoTG the host and hard attack them while they're stunned. It's cheap, but I prefer it to a Pivot - I only pivot when I'm trying to running attack somebody and they get the bright idea to start running toward me (i.e. by accident).

Rolling attack a phantom, do maybe 200 damage. Roll away. Rinse repeat.
They run out of flasks, and then I continue whittling them down. Eventually more people show up.

Instead of running headless into the trio, try strafing and pulling out the host. They tend to get stupid and lose patience after a while. Its always worth it to have high poise and tank a shot or two to get in there and BS the host. If the host wouldn't come at you, its still good to BS a phantom. Just remember always go for pivot BSs against multiple opponents, and avoid rushing or risky moves.

1.if i dont rush ...they do
2.if i try to avoid them someone is always there to give me a friendly CSS (most of the time lagged...)
3.i have 1 shot they have 3
4.i'm light wear and they are ALWAYS like fortresses
5.i'm so stupid that i cant resist bowing to someone who have bowed to me ...although the other two dont ...you can imagine the ending
6.if i turn my back to run i somehow die from something ,always
soooooooo all i can do is rush rush rush and pivot bs although somehow i get a freaking glitch and the animation starts to bs him and ir reverses to an animation bs me...LOL

Circling them while rolling when they attack is enough to strafe. The Kiln isn't big but there's enough space for that, if you survive down hill a little bit. Eventually someone will charge and there's your chance for a pivot.
