Zena Peddler Princes!

While wearing whatever armour you wantto is nice your going to have the problem of people not knowing if your a peddler or not. If you all wear a uniform while on the job then people will eventually learn who you are and wont attack you on sight.

Yeah made some profit!

That's why I kept the encouraged part in the guidelines. It'll spread our recognizability if we do. Wearing different sets does mean some risk.

I ran into a guy wearing our armor in the woods last night. He never attacked and did a bunch if gestures. I put our helm on, dropped him five regular chunks, told him it was a fine trade and jumped off a cliff. I was paid in humor and consider it a fine trade indeed

Trading with a few nembies in the Burg and was invaded by a guy (so I was with the host and then had an invader (griefer btw)). So we both go and hide and I send my new greetings

"What're ya buying Stranger, I'm a peddler of sorts"

The guy asks for Gwyndolins set.

I set up a trade netting myself 7 EoD's, 5 Red titanite Chunks, an Occult Katana +4, and a lovely stockpile of 4 Humanity.

Then from the host I get an order for a second base level Uchigatana. I'm only too happy to oblige and get another 3 EoD's and about 4800 Souls in item form.

The when the trade was complete the invader left without griefing the guy.

I say successful trade negotiated!

That's what I'm talking about! Rock on.

I went the other way tonight. Left a forest camper about six dung pies all over. Sadly, no appreciative hate mail

I have to say its an interesting experience. Negotiating with people you've never met is hard.

Also picking out your clients is an art form really.

Edit: I'm also sure I can find a buyer for that occult katana.

I did make someone laugh quite a bit at one point by Prostrating with my back turned to them, and dropping a dunge pie and immediately DC'ing. I think you can imagine what it looked like I did. When a Zena got to go, a Zena got to go.

Oh god so many people recognise my toon. They keep asking for Blacktails and Ballistic vests.

There are just somethings a Zena trader cannot get.

I just got two Trident drops in 5 mins of each other, what should I accept as a trade for one when I start peddling?

I'd think more than one slab, thats a guaranteed find per playthrough, the Tridents ultra-rare.
(Still in shock I got TWO in one run through dukes, the very first two dropped them)

You know you guys should maybe see about getting a thread set up in player trade. Kind of like the PSN Store of the damned with more than just one person doing it.

We should make an "approximate value" table. We are the peddlers, arguably we decide the value of the items we trade. What do you guys think?

I like hashing out my deals there on the spot. While I have no concept of large scale markets and economics small scale stuff is easy. Thus I make extensive use of my highschool economics from god knows how many years ago.

Its funny how often it works for me when I tell someone there is high demand for and item and they want it immeadiately.

gold coins for lightning weapons

silver coins for +5 fire weapons (gold for chaos or+6 or more fire)

copper coins for all else?

with weapons of equivalent value also being acceptable currency.

Just had a lovely time Trading in the Painted world, Many wanted to trade, a couple were mean and attacked or wanted to Duel. My favorites were when they try to attack you and you kick their *** lol. I gave them a chance for peace and profit, did they take it? No!

I'd greet each match with "Aye Swimae" then " I'm just a peddler of sorts, would you like to trade?"
Id arrive in Full Zena gear and unarmed.

I'll buy a ton of different titanite and other stuff and then whenever I see one of you guys Ill just give it all to you. Think of it as "investment".

Good stuff everyone. We keep at it we'll be the go to place for peddling! We seem to be attracting a lot of persons from the forums. I didn't intend this specifically since we have a help section and Mildred is a godsend. Hence, I didn't anticipate this. However, I think this could be a good extension of our covenant. So, if you anyone wants to expand their business in house, pm me your sl and system and I will add it to the members list.
