Alright, the trailer just came out and already I'm hyped as hell. From the composer's(s') work to the art style, as well as some of the functionality that will probably be seen in the game, time stopping, moving positions, setting up traps/attacks, and changing your stance, or the possible stealth combat has me already interested. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this game? Because already I'm very interested.

Why are you hyped for this again? Is it because that looked AMAZING?

Exactly skare! I don't care if you start out in prison like every Elder Scrolls game, this is like a Steam Punk assassin meets magic stealth supernatural combat espionage game, AND WE'VE BEEN NEEDING ONE!
Berkut, I will find out all I can about this game and distract the crap out of you!

Its a bethesda game, so therefore it will unplayable on the PS3 until 6 months after release. Ah well, I'll be able to pick it up on the cheap.

By the time I finish Skyrim there should be all sorts of patches for this game to make it play PS3 smooth!

Re: Dishonored (New Bethesda Game)
Haha, I actually didn't mind the glitches in Skyrim and Fallout New Vegas on the PS3, I'm used to glitches in games as I used to do a lot of Beta testing and messed around with skins and custom content on the PC. So maybe I just have a tolerance built up to it.

Re: Dishonored (New Bethesda Game)
I haven't had any major issues with Skyrim to be honest. I did start post patch but hear some people still have problems. I rock the original PS3 so maybe the tricks it learned emulating sloppy PS1 and PS2 games makes it work better. I think Bethesda gets a lot of flak for bugs but with the ambition of their projects I honestly don't know how they'd test every connotation some random idiot (I'm looking square at us Tolvo) is gonna try just for the hell of it.

Re: Dishonored (New Bethesda Game)
I enjoy glitches in game like in skyrim I would be walking the woods and a few dead bodys would fall from the sky or in Fallout 3 a dead body started floating and then flew :affraid: at me scared the living crap out of me I turned my xbox off

Re: Dishonored (New Bethesda Game)
Yeah, I only ever ran across really funny glitches. Like the time a bear killed me...While frozen...And flying hundreds of miles per second...WITH ITS FACE.
For Fallout I ran into a lot of crash errors, but I would rest and wait constantly to auto save, so it literally never effected me. I think it will depend on how open world this game is, as Skare Mentioned most of their games have so many variables that they can't predict. How were they going to know I was going to ride a horse off a cliff and cause my character to fall and dragon shout himself with Fus Roh Dah from the Throat of the World to Riftwood?

Exactly. It looks awesome, too bad it isn't going to work.

Re: Dishonored (New Bethesda Game)
Precisely........like in Oblivion (since I actually haven't had any Skyrim glitches yet) why would anyone go out of their way to enchant a full set of armor with grand souls gems and the most powerful jump magic they can AND create a short term spell with maximum jump effect "just to see what's up there"
I'll tell you why.....they took away my levitate spell from Morrowind......which reminds me of a funny funny derail....
In Morrowind there was a REALLY long lasting levitate spell (might have been a statue power or something). Naturally I used it to go completely vertical for as long as I could and saved a file just as the spell was running out. I believe the free fall took a couple minutes. Awexome!

I remember that Morrowind was a great game except for that one time when their was a dark brotherhood assassin waiting for me when I got my first weapon

Re: Dishonored (New Bethesda Game)
That guy is definitely a b. hole. I accidentally stumbled onto the Dragon Bone Cuirass at like level 8 or something ridiculous. So for the longest time I rocked a crazy chest piece with pretty much tin cans tied to it as armor.

Kind of reminds me of the thugs from Skyrim that appear if you steal something from someone without them knowing.

Re: Dishonored (New Bethesda Game)
It looks like Steam Punk with influences from Nazi germany, the characters looked like they were some type of European, more than likely Germanic, but I'm not entirely knowledgeable on cultures of Europe.

Re: Dishonored (New Bethesda Game)
I think all the Scrolls games do a great job of making hidden stuff in the world to keep you looking. Some great scenery and dungeon work (despite there being so many that there's always at least three dozen that give you deja vu) and random character interactions. Did you run into the merchant in the capital in Oblivion who asks you what the penalty is for necrophilia? Um....what? My favorite Skyrim person is the lady at the mill who has a vendetta against bears.
Yes.....back on topic.....I like the mishmash of themes. The video makes it look like an action based game but Bethesda really shines with open ended and BIG. My biggest worry is that the cutscene fights the trailer showed are actually indicative of a good combat system.

Re: Dishonored (New Bethesda Game)
I'm not exactly expecting the best combat system ever, but I think if they can do something a bit different or at least interesting I can really enjoy it. Actually for some reason it kind of reminded me of Bioshock with setting up traps in that game, like how he sets up the shots with his gun.

Re: Dishonored (New Bethesda Game)
Bioshock was amazing. The first one at least, haven't played the rest. I would be satisfied with that. The stop time and pick your targets was actually pretty well done at Xbox 360 launch with Gun. That game was sick, just wish they woulda been able to make it longer. The gun fights in that game could be very interesting.

Re: Dishonored (New Bethesda Game)
Bioshock 2 was pretty great, I'd actually say I kind of liked the Story of Bioshock 2 more, but I liked the game Bioshock 1 better. I still need to see if I can find a copy of System Shock though.
As well, what/who do you think this man that gives him the mark is?

Re: Dishonored (New Bethesda Game)
Great....now we're lore hunting a trailer.....I'm in.
Best guess would be someone from a resistance group trying to take down the government. Maybe a member of a secret society (Illuminatiesque) working on another goal. He seems a little sinister so I'm gonna guess he has his own motives. Maybe your character is like Kain from Legacy of Kain. Instead of being murdered to trick him into accepting the dark gift he's framed and has to sell his soul for revenge.
