My first post, and likely already beaten to the punch, but I am curious as to how others are fairing in the game.
I've created this post as a place to discuss our best/worst failing moments in the game. Im not intrested in mocking each other just curious about other peoples experiences with glaring at their consoles or silent screams of agony as all your souls are beaten away.

To start, I just defeated the Gaping Dragon boss with some jolly Co-op help. All bubbly with my 40,000+ souls I marched into BlightTown for the first time only to lose everything about 15 min later when I failed to equip my ring of sacrifice, and watched my body careen into the black abyss below. Cant tell you how angry I was, but oddly I was somewhat ok as I then vowed to destroy everything i came across in the game from here out!

First, welcome to the forums. We're all nice here, so I doubt you will see any mocking.

My biggest fail: Once, I was in Sen's with a hearty amount of souls, feeling like the big man on campus. I was by the boss fog, so I decided to summon Tarkus. I run across the bridge, the camera spazes out, and I fall to my death.

I raged quite hard after that one...

on my very first play thorugh I noticed the drop off for the bridge in the undead burg (the one with the blue tearstone ring) not realizing one of lord gwyns finest would be there to tear my butt asunder. still got the ring though!

Don't worry fox, you'll get used to it I'm sure winking

PS my montage of first playthrough blunders would make an excellent comical watch, don't worry too much about the mistakes you make, as in Dark Souls, death is an education, rather than simply being punishment.

Finally succeeding in summoning my friend after hours of "summon failed" or/and not seeing his sign, and then falling off the bridge to my death as soon as he appeared. (New Londo.)

Ran across and picked up the new londo firekeepr soul, turned around and carefull killed the ghosts, went to walk back across, the little invisible floating guy filming me with the camera bumps into the doorway shooting the camera to the left and my toon gracefull steps off the reallly narrow bridge and sinks.

    Oh this one was epic:
I was in Painted World, waiting for my friend to summon me to help him clear the level (hate those bonewheels  ) but I was human and people kept invading me (I mean, the game kept preparing me for invasions) preventing me from putting down my summon sign - you know the game removes it when you're almost invaded.

So I had to die but wanted to have some fun. I took off all my armor and went naked and unarmed to punch the hell out of the 3 ghouls near the bonfire.
They surrounded me quickly and even if I kept parry/riposte-ing them (doing something like 6 damage each time) they were killing me pretty fast.
As soon as I was dead I turned the camera and realized there was a Darkwraith invader watching the whole scene and doing the Pedaling my fail-bike as hard as i can........ a look at the most epic failing in Dark Souls 2707236321gesture repeatedly big grin

I kept on laughing for 15 minutes after that imagining his expression lol!

Complete in Black Iron regalia and bloodshield I deftly ran towards Nito, smashing his sad minions along the way. Getting in real close they did scant amounts of damage. Sadly I was using the Lifehunt to see if he bleeds (i doubted it but what they hell). If he does its waaaaay after I did. YOU DIED.......wait......what? I was kicking his rear.....D'oh!

Some of these are too funny...... For me, I am not very good at sneeking, because my first time through Anor Londo, every time I tried sneaking up behind a giant to get pass them, I would accidently jerk forward, causing them to turn around and destroy me....lol

Another one of my total screw ups can pretty much be summed up by saying, camera angle. I really get pissed when I fall off something because my camera view messes up.

And probably my biggest fail of all...... was when I was facing an invader, and completely forgot to back out of the "start" options. I wasn't able to defend myslef or fight back. I thought the guy was hacking, but it turned out, I just made a dumbass mistake..... lol

Let's not talk about all those times I forgot I removed the orange charred ring, died in Lost Izalith, and immediately exit the bonfire and walked on the lava without the ring lol

Or did you know that when doing the 4 kings in jolly co-op, and the phantom jumps down before you... if you wait too much to follow he gets "taken by the abyss"? Happened to me once when my friend (phantom) jumped down while I was still un the stairs changing my equipment 🇳🇴

    My two favorites:

First while performing jolly coop for the four kings I helped someone get to the four kings, feeling good about myself as I had made quick work of the baddies along the way. Excited to help my host beat the snot out of those four houligans I rush off the ledge into the abyss. Falling....falling...falling....thinking.....I did not kill Sif yet....falling.....dying.......typing message.......apologizing.... shamefully moving to new area of the game.

Second, spawn in dark anor londo to bring swift justice with extreme prejudice to the sinners of the world. Immediately notice there is a host and a phantom so I need to try to hit them hard and fast. Great combustion could work. Change my magic from homing soul mass to great combustion. They are charging. They are on top of me. Raise shield to block the first blow. Hmm, that is not a shield. It is the catalyst I had equipped in case I wanted to cast homing soul mass. Do not raise shield to block enemy blow. Instead rather forcefully shake a stick at them while they proceed to pound me. I like to think they will not sin any more, now that I showed them the error of their ways by sternly shaking a stick in their face. I will be so bold again if I need to be.

The other day I decided I was gonna kill Havel The Rock in the bottom of the watchtower in the Burg. After about my 20th attempt I had ammased quite a few souls and some humanity. On my way back to my bloodstain and Havel for try 21 I got careless killing the three hollows who throw firebombs down on you and ran right off their platform and plunged to my death. Lost some 4 or 5 SLs worth of souls, Yay Me!

Last night my internet disconnected just as I was getting a PSN message from someone I usually chat with while we play, and at the same time I was right down towards the bottom of blight town. I had just opened the message when the connection failed and my system wouldn't respond to me trying to close the message and regain control of my character, I think probably because it was trying to load too many things at once, but while this was all happening I had to sit and watch one of those pink guys slowly bludgeon me to death. Then, of course, immediately after I was killed my system caught up with itself and reloaded me at the bonfire way up at the top. Definitely was a little annoyed.

I've lost count of the times I've fallen to my death after switching from my bow to a sword and lunging forward instead of aiming my bow.
