Re: Dragon form has poise resist?
no, dragon from is basically the same as being naked. it has its special attack that is very useful/annoying however, and you can always use wolf ring.

I never was a full dragon but I heard you can temporary increase your poise with the dragon rawr, or however it's called... But I'm no expert... Someone will come here and tell you more soon.

Re: Dragon form has poise resist?
2 ways to get poise as a dragon: Wolf's ring, and Havel's shield.
The rings's already been mentioned, it'll give you 40 poise.
Havel's shield has a special R2 ability that will cover your body in stone. Temporarily raises your poise and makes enemy weapons deflect off you when they hit. I forget how long it lasts, though...

Does that defelection effect from the Havel's Shield work in PvP or just PvE?

Re: Dragon form has poise resist?
I tried it a while ago, pretty sure it works in PvP... don't remember so well, though. I remember people would be very weary of me when I was covered in stone, so it was hard to get them to attack me at all. And I also remember getting bored of it fast. I think the problem was it didn't last very long, and people would just run away during it's duration. So its only effect, in the end, was to lengthen the fight with annoying bouts of chasing the host until it wore off. Then I had to repair the shield all the time...

Ah ok, thanks. I have been trying to decide if the massive strength requirement was worth it on the Havel's Shield. I'm thinking no.

Well, if you want it for the buff, then you can get your strength to 34, put the shield in your right hand, and 2-hand it. Once you've buffed, you can even remove the shield, if you need to free your equip weight.
