As far as newbies go --- yes where out there... playing online - whenever the going gets tough the tough get summoning.
The game is hard, even harder when some red darkwaith thinks it clever invading your world when you've become human because the game has become hard and you need help......
Rant over -- Anor Londo blues --- lossed 8 humanities because of invading £$%^&.
Still love the game though

There are still plenty of new players. I got the game about a month and a half ago, and, as stated above, there will probably be a surge of fresh meat because of the PC version. Let's just hope that they're as nice as the current community.

I'll never understand why the weapons that are the easiest to acquire seem to do the most damage when upgraded. Most of the boss weapons in the game are very underwhelming. I'm curious why the developers went that route.

Well they tried to make a weapon's style its strength as opposed to stats. They didn't quite pull off the balance perfectly but I think its awesome that the starting weapons upgraded can stand with anything else if they fit your playstyle. I much prefer this system over the "kill big boss Pwn everything with the phat lewts" system other Rpgs use.

They wanted you to 'master' a weapon essentially, to choose it for it's move set and how well it fit's your character/play style rather than because it was on the corpse of the highest level thing you murdered. I think it's a refreshing change.

I lost more than 400,000 souls some time ago when moving from the lordvessel down to the Kiln after I had been killed by an invader. I had the item menu up and didn't notice that I was veering to the side of the staircase, and then I fell. And died. But I was, like, , since I didn't have any use for it anyway.

Most heavy PvPers have stores of multiple millions of souls and full stacks of 99 humanity that they lose on a relatively regular basis lol.

Hey, are you the guy who summoned me twice last night in anor londo? Has to be, definitely not many people rocing the drake sword once they get here. We has a good fight with that invader on the roof, pity the titanite demon got us in the end.
