He's probably talking about one of the bridges not being flipped.
Which bridge exactly are you at? Vamos is reached via a fall, so you wouldn't have to flip the last bridge to get to him. But if you are in the catacombs you know that lever you push in to open the door near the bonfire? You'll need to find more of those and push them, this will flip the bridges.

You haven't pushed the switches to turn the bridges over yet. Well I think that's the problem. Check the wiki for their locations.

Yep as I thought, one of the bridges. To the right of it is a path with Skeletons, follow that until you see one of the devices, push it and it'll flip over and the thorns will be gone.

Flipped the fist one but ahvent been able to find the acces for the device ofthe second one, ill follow the path on the video and then look for the second device.

If it's about block values, the Wiki has them stated under their information. It'll tell you how much extra block you'll get from a fire shield against Fire damage.
