Definitely not mana.
I would like two things mainly (because I'm greedy):
1. Bring innovation and ideas back into bosses. Interesting bosses but also variety should be important (they don't all have to be huge and slow).
2. Better boss soul use back, such as better boss soul weapons and boss soul magics.

I personally hope world tendency doesn't back, it was an interesting idea when I first got Demon's, but in the end you just realise that it's a mechanic that doesn't add to the experience much at all as it doesn't change a lot unless you're trying to make it change and you're play offline..
To me, having sidequests needing to repeatedly die in a world or throw yourself off the nexus to safeguard tendency is just a little stupid. There needs to be a better way of implementing it if tendency is going to make a return.

Exactly, that's why it would need to be tweaked. It's an overall good concept if made right.
Things making an impact on WT could be like helping/not helping someone, killing/not killing an NPC (I was dissapointed that you could kill almost every NPC and it didn't change anything...well, maybe apart from not being able to buy something from a merchant), maybe defeating an optional boss. It sound like traditional RPG but it could be very nice if made DS style

anyone here ever trully find the bosses in dark souls challenging, i loved flamelurker he was soo hardcore, i wish he was a normal enemy in dark souls cause itd make pve AWESOME!
