I wouldn't describe any of the FC players I've fought as parry happy. They know when to use it. However, if you ever watch YouTube vids, there's this dude called KnewGaming who threw out fifteen parries in a single match, a lot of them back to back. He landed one, but couldn't riposte. Hahahah. That's parry spam defined.

when i first started FC i remeber me and Rant.. i think.. (maybe roan) had a match where we literally for 5 mins straight rolled into each other parried, rolled away. thats when i started off handing Pyro. FC used to be alot more parry happy when people were learnign to do it, now that everyone is getting really good at it its used more sparingly because we also expect them to try and parry.

I always keep my pyro glove in the offhand. It's much more effective that way, in my opiniin.

Parries should not be limited, even though I get parried alot I think they are ok and I need to practice on people who are good at them.

i don't think any one said they need to be limited, i got enough ways now to counter people who spam parry though i always slip up trying to kick.

ill practice with you any time we are both on.

I'm in. I have subtle variant on my 40/40 I want to try.

BS = OK, BS chaining = BOO, pivot = (limit). What about circle BS for parriers?

Any particular days you'all going to meet?

I think they should be limited in the sense that you shouldn't run out and just spam L2 over and over again, because you'll get pooped on long before you get a riposte. But if you're saying you feel like you should stop parrying because you've already landed a bunch during that session, then I have to disagree. It's one of those things that never gets old for me, and I don't feel bad for geting them consistently because you have to earn them, unlike backstabs.

We're in Painted World right now. Get down here and circle strafe me.

I think this is something we should do sporatically. Just whenever we've got enough people online who are into it.

as far as i am concern any BS performed while your opponent is locked into a movement animation whether it is a long cast/a swing recovery or a parry animation it is a fair BS. but i don't make the rules for this event.

Circle BS is perfect for parry spammers. Even better for people that parry as soon as you get near them. I remember at least one fight I had where both of us took it to an extreme. Several minutes of closing in for an attack, only for both of use to do the parry animation. Over and over. It was like we were dancing. Both irritating and hilarious at the same time. Circle BS will make that more dangerous.

Can I make 1 suggestion about BS? No Hornet's.

I think No hornets could limit no buffs builds using small weapons fightning against buffed builds dealing 600~1000 damage per strike. I say we should have them and be wary to not get backstabbed or parried! :S What do you guys think?

@Reim and everyone We can set up duels just like we do in FC, if you feel like Lifehunting just join the chat that I'll invite you.

I think it would be just as easy to say no buffing. If we allow HR, people with ultra great weapons can OHK with a single BS, and that's not much of a fight to me. Ultimately, it was your idea, Wyrm. You should be calling the shots.

Thats the point Damage, organised duels that hone skills for randoms. The things that are excluded are banned because
    A) they make fights take forevere or
    B) remove skill as a factor.

Ie, bsing someone who knows how to stop it is difficult, but no amount of skill can get you out of twop+wog once you're in it, and chain bsing turns it from a fight, into a coin flip.

Btw what about spell healing? Its sufficiently risky where humanity is quick/easy.

if you say no buffing you severly gimp some builds. as much as a benifet to me it would be i wouldn't feel right beating people who used points for buffs.

I'm fine with buffing also. Even though it does an obscene amount of damage, I'll just have to find a way to equal my damage output. I like a challenge. So, yeah, buffs should be allowed. Good point, Glute.

just throw some Pyro around to keep em from getting to overly offensive till buff runs out, or just land a nice parry, but going toe to toe = instant death. Wyrm was 3 shotting me eysterday with his 800+ AR iaito

He did it to me a few times earlier. Thankfully I was able to get a clutch parry and I was throwing some GC like you were saying. He's a beast with that setup though. I was pooping my pants in some of those fights.
