@ Rynn you must have low INT my velka with BS for 800-900 without hornets and around 1200 with hornets and 1600 for parrys but I have 60 INT! It destroys the bandits knife for criticals even with a ENC bandits!

Also careful with velka it makes a difference if you get invaded it will do more damage because of the 110 divine dmg!

He's talking about the Moonlight horn, not Velka's Rapier. With 50 Int I see what you see with Velka's againt an enemy with strong armor like Havel's, about 800 for a normal BS.
Velka's does have occult damage, not divine, I think that's what the OP meant anyways.

Velka is great for backstabs, especially with 99 inteligience.

Oh wow damn it sorry about that and ya I meant occult dmg! Lol I was tryn to figure out how you thought it didn't do good criticals....its all coming together now!
On a side note I am soooo dissapointed with the nerfing on the stat scaling as you increase....I double checked last night my velka actually stats out a 431 with 60 INT....what's your Rynn bet its maybe 15-20 dmg higher at 99?

Oh I forgot about that DEX stat scaling that's why mine hits higher I have 46 dex lol! I sure wouldn't wanna eat one of you CSS tho mine at 60 with crown and bellowing will do OHKO's!

I use the TCC and only use magic when people flask. It easily shots most opponents, and punishes anyone else who tries.

If you're looking for damage, go with Ricards. I think the moveset of Velka's is better though.

LOL ya the CSS stagger shot with a TCC then 2 handed MLGS attack is more for hunting the forest and fighting 3 people. Another classic is a MLGS stagger shot then a follow up with a CSS either way they are dead.
For MAX damage Richard's is waaaaay better IMO than velka as you can buff it and it has the OHKO R2 move. For fun fights I definitely like the velka move set better tho and the velka R2 is great if you time it right and do 2 R2's it can do some damage.
The highest damage I can get for parry rpstl's is the reg rapier with crystal upgrade on it then CMW buffed because it has the 110 crit and with the crystal upgrade +4 it has pretty high damage already and with the CMW buff its crazy!

I thought that the damage increase from Velka's Rapier crit strikes were from the occult bonus, as it's just another damage source being factored in. Again, I thought, this isn't really based on anything. I love VR though, it's awesome.
