NG infinity low level...

So tonight I started a little level 6 character that will try and take me to NG infinity...all I have to say to they guys who are already doing it...you're my heros Any suggestions on how to make my character better would be appreciated.

So far I have just been using armor and weapons that I have found. As I just beat the Gargoyles...I tried to get Havels ring..But his bashed my head in like a mellon when one screwed up a roll. So any help would be appreciated. Thank and Praise the Sun.

DWGR, was on my list of things to get. Elemental paths are better for my low stats (No scaling) so ill probably be going with a fire claymore. And I didn't know that about crossbows..never really liked them. But ill give em a chance. Praise the SUN!!

I've finished the game as a SL8, then foolishly leveled up to a 10. I'm currently stuck at the Four Kings in NG+ (tough finding two humans to help).

My advice is to upgrade your weapons and shield. The Heater Shield is excellent for low level. Find the Gargoyle Halberd, too and upgrade that using the Fire path. I think you're capable of using a Heavy Crossbow (found just before the Gaping Dragon). Upgrade that weapon, too, and use Heavy Bolts.

The crossbow is excellent for a low-level user, too, because it can do more damage than a bow and can one-shot most enemies and is useful against bosses, too. Lock-on range varies widely. For Seath you can use it anywhere in the room. In the Tomb of the Giants, you have to be standing practically next to a skeleton to use it. :-)

Pyro is a good choice and I advise using the Chaos Servant covenant because you get a very powerful Chaos Fireball pyromancy which uses lava as a secondary "attack".

Add me and I can help you get to NG+. Personally, I don't want to go to NG++ at a low level. Way too hard for me!

Im on xbox man, and I only have 10 dex so I wouldn't be able to use a halberd anyways..I'll have to find some crossbows.

Chaos cov also allows you to skip firesage and that will be an annoying battle with so little health.

This is true...I'll have to keep refering to this post while im playing for all the helpful info you are giving me on how to play a ridiculously weak character.

I've used both the Lightning Crossbow and the Fire Crossbow and I think the Fire Crossbow does more damage. Heavy bolts are 100 souls each and Lightning bolts are 700 souls each. Also Lightning bolts can only be bought in Anor Londo. In my opinion, Heavy bolts are the way to go.

The secret to this game is upgrading weapons and armor is more important than soul levels. My SL10 is much stronger than my SL25 because he has better weapons and armor. I know, I know, I've repeated this many times now. But, it's true.

There are many people doing low-level runs for the challenge so it's not that hard to find help. And, sometimes, just a little help is needed.

Black Leather is in Lower Burg. No idea about the dagger though...

I found the black leather....my only problem is that I killed lautrec for the RFP, so I substituted it with the thief mask.
