Chaos Blade vs Fury Sword

just looking for something to use after a buff runs out. Also not sure which weapon to make with the soul

Also whats the best route to follow for each katana ?

The best route to follow for a weapon will always be +15, split damage isn't a good choice. The same goes for Chaos Blade vs Furysword, the Furysword isn't really all that good for PvP, and the Chaos Blade will do more damage than it while having IMO a better moveset.

IMO fury sword has a better moveset...
And I have seen many good players with it.

But thn again, CB is a class apart

I have both swords and the Chaos Blade just kicks so much more *** then the Furysword in PvP. Conversely the Furysword tends to be more handy in PvE

I think ill go with chao then, does aplit damage affect enchanted/occult too ?

IMO a +15 weapon.

All the other weapon types do 2 kinds of damage, and because of the way the way that armour works in dark souls, you end up with less damage in total. The percentage of damage reduced goes down as damage goes up. For example, a lighting rapier +5 has 404 damage i think. If we assume that's 202 from physical and 202 from lighting, then armour which would reduce both types of damage by 50%, would only reduce 404 pure physical damage by 30%. (Just an example not actual numbers). SO, ALTHOUGH +15 Has less AR, it usually deals more damage. This is assuming that a +15 weapon is being used to its full potential via stat scaling. If you don't have good stats for the weapon, that's where elemental weapons come in.
