I didn't get an update, but sometimes your current patch just deletes it self of your cache. It has happen to me before with other games. Maybe it's what happen?

I remember back when everyone was waiting for 1.05 to come out (but nobody knew exactly when it would be out.) I got an update one morning, got all excited, ran to the giant blacksmith, and found that there were no twinkling titanites for sale. False alarm. Imminent tears
