What kind of backstory do you make for your character? Who is he? Where does he hail from? Why is he in Lordran, apart from the game's storyline?

Example: Sir Darius, the Iron Wall

Darius the Iron Wall hailed from Carim, and had a battle compatriot in Knight Lautrec. During their travels, Darius was betrayed by Lautrec and left to die. Darius sustained heavy injury, but survived and awoke in the Asylum. He had forgotten the man he was...He was freed from the Asylum by Oscar, found the Way of the White and became a fervent believer of the Gods. He found Lautrec and freed him, not remembering who he was. After finding Anatascia dead by Lautrec and seeing the wretched state of Blighttown's people, Darius swore alligence to the Chaos Servants, and sought to rein in the true Age of Fire. The Age of his Chaotic Fire.

back story: This was not his original name. he was framed by his "best friend" who was jealous of his magical talent. Big Hat even complemented on his success. He was Convicted of thievery and murder of a fellow student who he had problems with, but he would've never killed him. His punishment was a banishment to a prison far out of town. he then became undead, and was exiled from the prison. he was moved to the undead asylum and given the nickname Frost for the cold look in his eye by his fellow prisoners before they went hollow.he one day met up with his former friend, he was trapped in lower undead burg looking for Logan. Frost freed him not knowing it was him, He didn't recognize him at first but when he did, his friend ran. but frost's
soul spear shot him and killed him. Frost started to go mad from his research in the painted world of ariamas, when he was finnaly sucked in the exile, frost, was taken in by queen Priscilla and the Lifehunters, where he now serves killing all who dare go near the princess of his new home. his spirit has been known to haunt anor londo and the painted world...

Summary- Eos was a wealthy city, otherwise known as the city of a Hundred Gods, and as they say where religion goes so too does wealth. Letos father, after losing his mother in an anti Lhemia riot turned to drinking and whoreing leaving his only son to make a living thieving and killing in the Underwarrens of the city. At aged 14 young Letos took on the Maker's Faith and during the uprisings of the mages that very year served with distinction in aiding the Wardens of Eos (now rulers of the city under the Maker's Faith) and even saving the life of the Lord Commander Arrik of Old. After this he was inducted into the Wardens. His first trip through the Halls of Reticence were enlightening but only strenghtened his resolve to aid the Wardens in the slaying of heretics and those whose powers were dangerous to the common man. His spent most of his youth in the charge of Father Embry learning to read and write. At nineteen Letos was an acclaimed swords man, and under the tutelage of Ser Cleors, however the greater part of his time was now spent with Embry learning the mantra's of the Hundred Gods and to speak foreign languages. At a tourney Letos fought in place of Ser Cleors against and knight of unknown origin. The man turned out to be an agent of Mages and struck Letos an horrific blow to the face gifting him an ugly scar that could not be healed. Three years later he met his first love, Knight Commander Lilith, who had been sent to take charge of the White Spyre, the Wardens fortress in Eos, after the death of Arrik. After dealing with a puritan sect of Wardens the loyalists established Lilith as Lord High Commander of Eos. Three years after that the city of Eos was at it breaking point. War raged in the outside lands, many wanted to join, many did not, men and women starved while the rich ate well, and mages spread rumours and gathered power in the Slums. When Letos confronted Lilith, his bethrothed, in secret under the blessing of Father Embry, about the unrest her patience snapped and the two agreed that it would be better for Letos to leave the city for the Border Guard for some time. A month later Ser Toran rode in with news for the nearby lands. War was upon them, and the neighbouring lands marched against the the Gate. However back in Eos the mages seized the opportunity and launched a full scale rebellion.Toran, the highest ranking commander, dispatcted 20 of his 200 knights back to the capital under Letos with instructions to relieve Liliths Garrison at the White Spyre. After a hard ride back to Eos, Letos found the city in flames and mage spawn on the streets fighting the soldiers of the Maker. Letos commanded two of his knights to ride for the Slim Wall to secure the gate house in case of a siege, and six men to aid the belaugered remants of the City watch against the West Gate, while Letos and his remaining Wardens launched a main assault on the North Gate. Pinned down and taking heavy casualties Letos and his command was saved by the City Watch as they cleared the North Gate and the Wardens poured into the tower slaying mages where they stood. Letos fought with Ser Cleos and Father Embry to the Commanders Tower where Letos found his betrothed tortured and turned into a monster. It was also revealed to him that his unborn son had been used for some dark purposes. Distraught and traumatised Letos killed the mages and ordered the executions of all known mages in the city regardless of whether or not they aided the rebels. Now unsure of his purpose Letos donned his second Ring on his Left hand and left the Wardens behind and set out for the East Marches....

Ragnok, the Odd

A man with little to no remembrance or recording from the past, Ragnok is a crippled form with little to no form of physical strength, as well as the lack of a flexible body as well. Armed in tights that had degraded by time, the hollow that resided within the Asylum had little to no grasp of feeling, as well as emotion. With his memory almost being completely gone from what is past time was, his only memory was the word 'Ragnok'. When rescued by the mysterious knight, the man killed the dying hero with a broken hilt of a sword he found in the asylum, and escaped with luck of gouging the demon who guarded the asylum with it as well.

Escaping the Asylum by flight, the man that called himself Ragnok was confronted by a warrior in chains, telling him the 'quest' that others had taken before him. Near hollow, the warrior in chains told him to become human again, by using humanity at a bonfire to reverse it. However, the concept of it was unaccessable for him. Being told that his passage to a bell was down below, he went down the staircase, and later the elevator, to the cursed world of New Londo.

Attacked by ghosts once he went to the drowned Atlantis, he killed the ghosts immediately with the broken hilt, and Ragnok finding killing ghosts to be of ease. Later using their own weapons against them, the cursed man had began to take the arms of the ghosts and kill them for their blades, of all kinds... Dropping the broken hilt in the deep waters. As he went threw the world of New Londo, he found a stairway of a structure that seemed like a church, and met the protector of the seal, Ingward. Drawn and Fascinated with New Londo, he stayed and resided within the world of the damned.

Taught and becoming friends with the lonesome old wizard, Ragnok learned to harness the power of healing Sorceries, learning how to cure diseases and damages to themselves and others. Later on, as he walked around the world of New Londo, he confronted the locked up blacksmith known as Rickertt, and the blacksmith asked the hollow man to retrieve an Ember of magic for better use of smithery in his prison. Learning also about the origins of New Londo, and the sacred seal that unfloods the damned city, he goes to his old friend and meets with his teacher and only friend for the last time, before leaving New Londo in search for better Sorceries, to connect and find the lost soul he supposedly had, before insanity of long time passing by had taken his memories of his past away, removing and identity he had beforehand from his mind.

On an odd quest to search for answers, Ragnok uses the healing Sorceries to confront the harsh environments and atmospheres, as well as use the cursed weapons of ghosts in New Londo. With little form of physical strength of any kind, he is known to die and be reincarnated again and again, and the lack of feeling and emotion is the only spark that keeps him from becoming entirely hollow, while he ironically tries to find his lost soul that he had apparently lost due to his imprisonment in the asylum. Ruthless, a killer, and fascinated with elements that due with the inner self, Ragnok is very faithful as well, and logical in his endeavors. With many scowl at what he is, the cursed man has been known to kill many that would have logically have destroyed him, however the different attributes of reincarnation and mental state cause him to always continue on forward...

, seems a little out of context with the game, then. Even Kratos from Mortal Kombat had a tie to it, and he was jsut a brought over from his own story...

Kaith.

Kaith was a loyal knight from astora, who fought along side Solaire and Oscar.
In a great war against vinhiem, the three knights all died. but were reborn as undead and later met up at undead burg, rejoiced at there reuniting from so long ago, they adventured together. they wandered into clerics and kaith was caught, the other two made it out alive. he was put into the undead asylum where oscar then freed him. oscar later died from an accident navigating the roofs, and said his final words to kaith before dieing, he told him he belived he was the chosen undead, but failed in his mission. he told him as his dying wish to keep the torch lit and ring the bells of awakening. when he met solaire he told the news and then they adventured to seek these bells. they valiantly fought and made it to the lost izalith to claim the last lord soul, and defeat lord gywn. but then solaire went insane and tried to murder kaith thinking he was going to kill him, which he did when solaire went hollow, he then linked the fire and is still known as a very famous martyr, and hero.
