Role Playing?

Last day I met a SoV in the forest and I fought him. It was no duel. After he defeated me he said he were right to do this because I'm a sinner. The thing is: He hacked hp (I dealt him about 1,5k damage and no difference in his bar), he had a second phantom with him, used the TWoP and WotG combo, he BS fished and he had DWGR without Havels Ring (according to the damage, he had the firstborn ring and the BDC Ring) at a Golem/Steel Hybid (my SL was 102, so he needed to have a low SL too).

Ok, it was no duel, so he were allowed to do this, but does RP really go this far, justifying those things :?:

Yeah some Darkmoons are really scummy like that and because they think they are there to punish people who are indicted and 'sinners' that they can do whatever they want including becoming worse and more despised than the Darkwraiths themselves....

They are my least favourite people to interact with in game.

That individual you dealt with is scumy yes, because it's pretty difficult to ever justify hacking/modding except in response to another person hacking/modding. Even then things are sketchy.

Im not bashing them. I was one for the first half of my DkS life and actively campaigned with Forum a while back about changing peoples perceptions of them. But I simply find, in my experience, that between dark wraiths and dark moons....the DM's are more often less sketchy.

I'd say a fair few SoVs are simply players who couldn't be bothered to go through the steps required to join the Darkwraith Covenant but still want to repeatedly invade. I only say this because, admittedly, it's why I joined (though I'm still a DM, and try to fight honourably). If this is indeed why they joined the covenant, it's hardly surprising that they'd play in such a way.

Also keep in mind that a lot of players may not know of the DS community, and so not even be aware that their equipment/playstyle is frowned upon. Again, from personal experience, it can take a while to really learn the etiquette of the game!

Cheesers gonna cheese, from my personal experience the DW's seem to be full of cheesers, (WoG spam, running away into groups of mobs, BS fishing).
To be honest there will always be the people that suck so hard they have to hack, because they cant accept they suck and give up playing the game, because this would make them butthurt.

To me DMs and SunBros are the worst.

oh yes definately, the amount of times I have invaded and the SunBro has been the cheap one, BSing while I buff DmB, BSing while bowing to the host.....

When I think about it I've really only not had problems with the Princess Guards, Chaos Servants, and WoWers.

Yeah white spirits always just seem happy to chill.
Now I think about it SunBros are usually my first target for an all out zerg when Invade, unless the host is charging towards me.
