Re: Gravesworn- Servants of the First
Yeah I've never got a good handle on the Gravelord sword, the startup on the R1 is just too long for me to deal with. I must be doing something wrong.

Re: Gravesworn- Servants of the First
You can ''zone'' pretty effectively with the GLS too,
The duel-handed R2 from The GraveLord Sword breaks 76 poise if I remember correctly , makes up for the slow startup a lot, plus causes stun/knockback on block.
The running R1 & backstep R1 combo is awesome (single handed has wide swing, duel is overhead)
throw in some duel handed R1's from a distance , or if they circle you .
(I don't mean combo/spam R1 but single presses with a pause to ''zone'' & keep em at bay )
For landing regular R1's on opponent's it works great to anticipate when they are trying to come close.
If you want to fight offensively with it , it really is best to duel-hand it.

Gold hemmed looks pretty dark and evil... or at least the hood! (I love the way it looks on the savegame screen!)

Wolf Ring & Havel's Gauntlets are your friends with the Gold-Hemmed especially with the GLS

Re: Gravesworn- Servants of the First
I've been using the Havel Set, sometimes with just a thief hood instead of the helm, but I like the way it looks.
I regards to the GLS topic. The way I use it is I 2H it and use the heavy attack (A thrust) until I know I've made contact twice. 2 Hits with a 2H heavy will cause toxic. Then I switch over to one hand with a shield of choice (Usually Grass Crest) and dance around, throwing in a jab from the GLS or other weapon as the opportunity arises.
I agree that the R1 start up on the GLS is slow, but, my character is slow, and has tons of poise. If I ever get backed into a corner, I have iron flesh in my back pocket too. Sure I'll be slow, but if I can get an attack on you, you're doomed.

Re: Gravesworn- Servants of the First
Where I'm at in the game, Havel's set is the best I have. I've yet to complete Sen's Fort and haven't actually put any time into Depths to find anything down there.
Once I get further, I'll probably trade up Havel's set for either Orinstein's or Smough's but IDK which one. However; I never intend on using Giant's Armor, as I hate Stamina impeding.

Black iron is also one of the coolest armors in the game just saying. Also Tarkus uses it so that makes it even cooler.

Re: Gravesworn- Servants of the First
Because I am a knight of Havel in the Noble Knights. I also requested a new one if you check the thread for sigs because I need to better represent the cov I colead. Also for all his awesomeness Tarkus just doesn't suit me and I'm sure somebody else could make better use of him in a sig. I know you were just kidding but I felt like answering.

Re: Gravesworn- Servants of the First
Tarkus's set is the best heavy armour. 79 poise, great defence and lowest weight.
I'll be sad to see you sig go Sun.
