Re: The Lore of the Covenants
I repeat that you are a fool; Gwyndolin seeks his death for the sake of continuing the Age of Fire. We do seek the death of Seath but as you must know he is no easy foe to defeat. He is guarded by sorcerors and crystal knights. We are not strong enough to wage war upon him yet. We hunt those who use the skills aquired here for sin; if a Darkmoon sins they shall pay the price just as all others do.
Dark Lord I shall tolerate no further heresy from you lips! The gods have not sinned against us; these supposed offenses are but the delusions of your corrupted and power mad mind. You and your Darkwraiths have committed the true sins against humanity.
I can't help but feel this would be a lot more dramatic if I could challenge you to a duel Billy but console difference prevents this.

I understand this feeling soo much
"You deride me as a fool and then speak of heresy I listen to your words for they cannot harm me if they have not merit. the fact that you cannot bear to hear ours makes me think you fear the truth."
"If all pay the price you are welcome in my abode whenever you feel ready. Is it 5 souls or 6 to bribe a darkmoon nowadays?"

Re: The Lore of the Covenants
"It's regrettable that you are still blinded, young knight"
Laplace steps out from the air from behind the Blade that seeks to defeat his lord.
"You would believe a 'god' who must hide behind a grandiose illusion of his sister? Or a traitor serpent? Truly, justice is being served" the words dripped with venom, and with a shake of his head the Lord's Shadow was already gone from sight.

Re: The Lore of the Covenants
This was simply a chance to annihilate a group of the worst kind of sinners. We need no provocation to do the task given to us by Gwyndolin. The Lifehunters attacked unprovoked but I was in no hurry to point this out as even the worst case scenario has them, another less severe group of sinners, beaten and weakened. Don't you see no matter who won this war we still accomplished our goals. My only regret is that our Blades were sent off to an inactive corner of New Londo and were unable to collect the price from your Darkstalkers. Gwyndolin thought all of this through before allowing us to "ally" with sinners for the greater good.
As I said the Blades are not the same as us. Try and bribe one of us and lose the hand offering the bribe and the tounge speaking it in addition to the usual ear.
Shadow you dare speak of hiding behind illusions when you hide in the shadows yourself? It is a regrettable fact the Gwyndolin's frail and repulsive appearance invites misunderstanding so he created the illusion of his sister to speak for him. He does not hide from those who prove to be of true faith however as we are able to see what he stands for.

Re: The Lore of the Covenants
A cackle is heard, and Laplace once again steps forward, this time in front of the abrasive blade. "Know your place, fool. I do not hide, I observe. Need I give you a lesson on Lordran's time? Or can you piece it together yourself.
The boy you claim a god is someone who needs falsehoods to get his way. His actions are only continuing a dead age that is slowly bleeding humanity dry. The Age of Fire has propagated the dark sign and lead to the mistreatment of many who do not deserve it. Once you realize just what you do to this land will you understand why I wish to extinguish the flame."

"less of an extinguishing and more of a scuffing out the embers at this point.
I welcome the attempt oh righteous one. however your attempts at reclaiming justice in the current world are much like trying to push water uphill, Join us and forge a better one in the next age."

Re: The Lore of the Covenants
I see my words will get nowhere with you Darkstalkers. We will fight to continue the Age of Fire and you shall seek to end it. We serve the gods and you seek to overthrow them. We shall never agree and each one of us will always be correct in our own minds. Our words are wasted on each other so let us simply let our actions speak for us.
Seriously where is POLG when I need them. They are one of the only groups who would join my side of the argument. Now if you all will excuse me I have a POLG initiation to administer.

Re: The Lore of the Covenants
Blade, right?
Laplace scowled and once again vanished into the ether. "I wished I could talk some sense into you, but it seems you are right on this" his last words echoing throughout the room.

Re: The Lore of the Covenants
I told you my DM is quite logical when righteous fury fails. He expressed his beliefs with full passion, hatred, etc and since that clearly wasn't getting anywhere he simply stated the facts free of opinions. He argued but when he realized it was futile simply moved on.

Re: The Lore of the Covenants
Yep well I wouldn't be a very good "humanity draining monster." If I let a speech in favor of a coward god throw me for a moral spin. Still dispute that title since my dedicated darkwraith has only every used it for intimidation (A dummy swing with it makes alot of phantoms back well off! amazing how much less brave they are when they are risking something)

Re: The Lore of the Covenants
And I wouldn't be a very good servant of the gods if I allowed your talk of gods sinning and the Age of Dark being better sway me now would I? Do you use any of the Dark armor? That combined with a Dark Hand demo should scare most players just a bit or at least inspire caution.
