So the trouble connecting was YOUR fault, not my crappy rural interwebz! Funny thing, after we stopped trying to connect I got fakevaded a ton of times. My bonfire kept winking on and off like a Christmas light but never got invaded. I switched to my primary to do a few forest invasions and not only did I invade pretty easily, I got a Darkwraith invasion (which did not go well for him). So the conclusion is my internet was indeed fluky as suspected.

I'm way too broke for that. I would feel pretty bad if the new one went kaput too. Connected fine with Acidic recently so there's hope for Co op without trashing your hardware
