Yea, that is kinda non-threatening, isn't it. 
But you can easily take of the beastmode armor set up and toss in the DWGR for a normal build

I am using the Hand Axe as a backup on my Str builds and it's very handy lol. And your build will look great chopping their heads off instead of little girly pokes

That looks great. 
And, They are fun to use.
Sometimes you have to turtle, but usually you can just walk around and look terrifying while smashing them with giant weapons.

And the shield + Hand Axe combo is very deadly if you aren't predictable. The only drawback of my build is its low HP

With the defences and equipment we have on, hp isn't that important.
But, taking advantage of roll + hit will make up for our 1500 hp

It killed me to not put on the RoF, but for a ninja flip, I had to.
Anyways, I didn't put on a greatshield. I can walk through anything, so I didn't find it necessary.

For the DMG you only need 40 Str. I recommend using the crystal or normal Hand Axe over the lightning one. Almost 1800 HP!!!! Change armor to your liking.

this is my str build, i always go with fast roll and light armor with 54 poise but this is to see what it can do, i have 46 str cause i have to one hand the demon weapons http://tinyurl.com/78ruhvm
