Re: The Elder Scrolls
I made a few, small tweeks towards Oblivion in the game. Some changes include the replacement of deadra and undead summons with animals in the wild. It was for comedy, as you summon a deer which is suppose to be a skeleton, which immediatly starts to buck the crap out of a troll
Well, one change that I added was the addition of an Ayleid Container in the Marketplace. The Ayleid Container contained the removed leather gear that was identical to the gladiator gear, except it was tan. I also added a tan mage clothes as well to match it, so that I can add and match different clothings for a tan warrior. Well, I also added 20 ayleid stones, a poition of health, 200 gold, a leather shield... and two weapons of interest. One was a club, and one was a staff...
Now... these weapons were designed to make people's lives miserable. Seriously. My staff was designed with lightning and fire damage, which caused players to fly and die due to the paralyzing spell that was unnecessarily added, but was there for the better use of flinging foes to instant death. One time I hit a horse that a legion soldier was riding... the Legion guy was hovering still in riding stance, while the horse lost its legs to taffy and went flying behind him. It was great to see... the weapons were designed for the sole purpose of **** and giggles.
The other weapon, my club, was of similar quality as the staff, however different. It did zero physical damage, did 5 shock damage a second, and had a paralyze for 60 MINUTES. That means that players would be stuck at a spot for days and would die slowly by the lightning shock. it also had soul trap as well to bring more misery towards it. The speed swing as 4 points a second, which is two times faster than a dagger. meaning that I can swing about 4 times in a second... daggers go for two slices a second. You remember all those NPCs that are immortal with that crown? They permenatly stayed parallyzed forever, even when the spells were gone. You would find them randomly on the streets in a dead stance, however you can talk to them on the ground.
The best part that, when enemies are hit, you can loot them. Doesn't matter if they are dead yet or not, once they were hit they were loot able. I could of added a dispel and healing magic for torture of the NPCs to screw with them, but later on my PC version crashed due to me trying to get dragons for mounts... on a **** computer that was already overheating from the game.

Re: The Elder Scrolls
No they don't Zack. No they don't. Though they are extremely awesome.
The only thing I would do given the chance would be to snatch the Imperial Watch Captain/ Palace Guard armor. You know the ornate white one with all the dragons. I wanted that armor so badly.
Imagination is a wonderful thing and the best part is that Bethesda supports mods to their games.

My best work was a poison that did cold damage, magic damage, paralysis and regular damage. I called it gin and tonic as every society has a drink of this name

Sigh... Don't do it, sweetheart. It is expensive, and some modifications bore the game down to something that you may not want to play any more

Re: The Elder Scrolls
Recently I took Nords to being my fav. But thats because I like knights now. And not those pansy *** roman wannabes that Imperials became.
I like them or mayhaps those lizard men but then again Ive never made a argonian character before.....

Re: The Elder Scrolls
Argonian was my first character on oblivion. I thought water breathing was cool and interesting and unique and would allow me to explore far more inventively.... as I walked out of the gates of the imperial city THE FIRST QUEST I GOT AND BEAT. was the ruhmare slaughterfish quest. which rewarded.... a ring of water breathing. I have never forgiven the argonians...

Re: The Elder Scrolls
Spells, Unarmed, or the good old Battle Axe. A shield goes only to the Spells; Unarmed needs none.

Re: The Elder Scrolls
They disrupt opponents attacks. If you go up the skill ladder there's even a skill that makes an opponents power attack look like slo-mo so you can interrupt them.

Re: The Elder Scrolls
In my dreams I get to be head honcho of some faction or other and I'll actually be able to shout 'off with his head' when some gnarly NPC treats me like I've just crawled out from under a rock. That's after I've tortured him/her of course.
