Re: Brony Thread
Ok, so, I'm back from the con and I have so much crazy things to tell all the Bronies who missed it.
First and foremost, it was fantastic and I got to meet John DeLancie, Tara Strong, and Lee Tocart as well as hug Nicole and get a High-5 from Cathy. I don't have any pictures right now as I'm at work and unable to upload from my phone, so those will come eventually.
I would love to sit here and break down everything that happened at the con, but that would be impossible, as that much swag cannot be contained in a thread. But I will give some of the Highlights:
(For those interested, Everfree Radio did live streaming of the entire con and may have uploaded the videos. I don't know for certain)
- Lauren Faust cried when she walked on stage during opening ceremonies in response to the overwhelming response of the crowd.
- John DeLancie worked in tandum with the Documentary crew that was filiming and interviewing people at the con.
- Tara Strong and the rest of the available cast made a surprise appearance at the Concert (Featuring the Beatle Bronies) and partied on stage with the band and a few audience members, there was even a mass singing of the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic openeing theme, and Winter Wrap-up lead by Tara Strong.
- Lauren Faust was presented with a unique poster of Lauren Faust's own Alicorn in the Red and Blue style that Obama used for his campaign; however, instead of the poster saying "Change" it said "Create". It was quite emotional for Mrs. Faust.
- Also presented to Mrs. Faust on behalf of the community was a book of "Dear, Princess Celestia" letters addressed to Lauren, explaining what the show meant to them. The reading of one letter was emotional for the entire convention.
-A poster went for auction for $4,050.00 (Bidding started at $200.00) at the Charity auction...it wasn't a huge event, but the price was outrageous and I wanted to share that. lol
-During the "Behind the Voices - Q&A" Panel, the roof caught on fire due to an electrical problem and delayed the con by an hour or so. Was kinda funny...
For now that's all I have to share. Later I'll talk about what artists were there and some of the things they were selling.

I've been hearing the most messed up rumour that there was an 0rgy at Bronycon. Anyone here who went to bronycon care to disprove it?
Also, it's 4am why am I still wake and watching ponies

Ask WhiteMage, he was there.
And do you mean an orgy in a hotel room by the con or an orgy in the actual convention center? Either way, I hope it's true. Too funny to not be.

Everybody here is too drunk to even think about sleep (I'm actually not, I'm celebrating Independence Day in my own way), until they all pass out that is.

You're Irish. You have to be tough. Who needs sleep when you can down a flagon of Guinness whilst dancing a traditional lord of the step jig?
...Not sure if that's what you Protestants do, however...

I've seen enough Liam Neeson and Colin Farrell movies to know otherwise.
Just kidding, I love when natives put my stereotypes in their place.

I do remember hearing something to that effect; however, with about 7 years of conventions under my belt, I've learned NOT to trust anything any con-goer says. So I don't know how valid that statment may be.

I don't really care much for the convention, but did anyone get undeniably, unbelievably drunk? Did you? I hope you did, there's no better way to enjoy yourself than with alcohol.

Oooooooh, here comes the stereotype thread. Watch in awe as Serious dodges "crooked teeth" and "The queen sucks" comments, only to have Pendant parry the "You're all fat" and "Your English sucks" and return with a devastating riposte on foreigner counts in England. Oh this fight will be glorious...

Re: Brony Thread
The English still think the Royal Family is relevant. Sadly for them, it is 2012 and not 1512.
That's all I have to say.

And that's a swift jab from Pendant to start the match, can Serious defend the English background or is this fight over before it's even started?

Re: Brony Thread
Alright...confession time. I have to just say it...I never really cared for Luna. I didn't even remember her appearance from the first episodes for the longest time, and the episode they gave her felt like a bad excuse to bring her back. I mean, we already learned that the Nightmare Moon part of her was gone at the end of season 1! Why are they still scared of her?! And if I said this anywhere else I'd catch ALOT of flak, but I found the whole "Royal Canterlot Voice" thing just a bit obnoxious. And to top it all off, I kept thinking during the season 2 finale "maybe Luna will join in and do some b1tchin' fights next to Celestia and make herself awesome," but well...
So yeah...I'm very neutral when it comes to Luna, and until she does something of greater relevance (other than being Nightmare Moon) I feel she just won't really grow on me as a character the way she has the rest of the bronies...
