Most Original Troll

Ok so just now I was heading to the bonfire in anor londo, about to log off & head to the gym, when a DW invades me. "Ok I have time for one more" so I prepare to fight. Its a guy wearing Smough's who proceeds to drop me 3 humanities. Then he leads me to the chest behind the giant smith. I already knew about it but hadn't gotten it with this toon so I played along, grabbed it & bowed. He then pinned me in the corner & started hitting & kicking me, obviously wanting me to aggro the Smith. Once he had my health down pretty low it became clear he wasn't gonna finish me off so I thought "what the hell there's always oswald" so I threw dung pies at the wall in an attempt to suicide. Aggro'd the giant anyways, so now that I realized he was inflicted with toxic I ran out of the room & quickly allowed myself to be killed.

I realize that someone new to this game could be royally screwed by this guy's tactic, but I couldn't even get mad. I was somewhat amused, & simply messaged him an "off to Oswald I go!"

Any of you have any interesting stories of being trolled?

Not like that, I don't. That dude's got dedication, though.

So he stood in the way so you could squeeze through and out from where the chest was? Dang, creative.

Wish I had a good story, but I always get dw that run towards other mobs so that they assist the dw in killing me. =(

He let me in but stood in the way so I couldn't get out. Once the giant went aggro and stood up I was able to run between his feet. I would have hated to have had to go try to collect my 40+ humanity bloodstain from that room!

Could have used the darksign to off yourself.....

.....in case it ever comes up again, lol.

It is a "creative" troll though.

With the darksign, though, you would lose all the humanity and souls you have. Better off letting someone kill you or suiciding if you want to recover everything.

Does the blacksmith follow you out of the room?

You can pick them back up again, you just lose your human form. Also, you can actually get out the other side behind the blacksmith, so you weren't stuck at all.

@Tolvo. I actually tried getting out the other side but it didn't work. Probably one of those things where if I had rolled a couple more times I would broke through.

@bmurn I don't know if he follows you out cuz I ran like hell out the room and thru the small gate to let the sentinels kill me inside the main hall!



And about that darksign...i thought about it, but as this discussion demonstrates, I have heard mixed opinions as to whether or not using the darksign actually leaves a bloodstain or you lose everything for good. I had less than 100k souls but with that and over 40 humanities I wasn't taking any chances!

Well, I've seen plenty of dirt in my day, but never that tactic.

Guess today I can count myself among the initiated!

Using the Darksign you will lose everything, and there will be no bloodstain, I can confirm that.

darksign is better than being a few mil in debt to oswald

Can you wear a ring of sacrifice and then darksign?

I will test this out tonight (on a toon without much to lose) tonight after work, unless someone beats me to it.

UPDATE: Doesn't work. You still don't leave behind a bloodstain, and the ring of sacrifice does not break. So for anyone who was curious or uncertain...it is 100% CONFIRMED that if you use the dark sign you will lose ALL humanity and souls with NO opportunity to recover them!
