Bed of Chaos kills me even though I'm in the root system. HELP!!!

I was just about to whack that stupid little firey thing and BOOM!!!!!!! I got lit up! WTF? Does it do that every time? What the heck happened? I was all excited that it didn't sweep me and ALSO that I didn't just jump down into the abyss and then it pulls THAT crap on me. Seriously, does that happen all of the time? If so, how do I keep from dying? NG++ btw.

if you dont rush to kill it when inside it does a fire tempest inside of itself.

Ahhhhhh, so once I get into the top of the root system I should hold off until the sucker does that and then rush in. Sweet, thanks man!!!!!! I was pretty forlorn last night.

okey dokey. I tried rushing and I guess I'm not quick enough. Can you roll thru and break that stuff quicker than hack and slash? Never tried.

dont wait, itll blast you whereever you are. if im on a character weak enough to be one shot thats one of the rzre occasions I will put on mask of the mother.

and popping a green blossom before entering it really helps you to roll through all those branches.

DWGR roll will get you through in time consistently for me.
