Awesome. I really recommend making a fire weapon, too. The further you get the harder it is to hold on to humanity, so fire will be stronger than chaos later.

Don't most fire weapons do more physical damage then Chaos ones ?

Just out of interest whoever mentioned vit pumping... why would you do that when you could get the gargoyle halberd which is undeniably a great PvE weapon instead...?

ASAP. Upgrade everything as early as you can, even if it means farming for materials a little. You don't have to use them till you get in trouble, but upgrade early and often. Getting to embers and blacksmiths can be... uh, troublesome, later on, so **** yourself to the upgrades early.

Join us, and when everything in the game is one-shotting you at +++++ you'll know how valuable those extra HP would be. When you can't activate the Red Tearstone Ring because you can't find an attack that won't kill you outright those 18 HP you could've had (vs. the 10 you do have) will look pretty good.

Gargoyle Halberd is as good as most of the strong weapons, I guess, but I don't think it will make the difference you might expect it to for this challenge. Come to think of it I would love to see an Infinity 6er take on NG+++++ or higher O & S with a Gargoyle Halberd.

In fact, if anyone can summon me for +++++ (or higher) O & S and take them out with a halberd weapon on the first try they will win a game of their choice from Amazon. (I'll do a few attacks on each boss to mitigate the extra HP they receive in co-op.) SL 9 or below, of course.

****!!! Son of a *****! O & S at +5 really changes things for me. I'm having to completely re-learn how to fight them and it's NOT going well. Haven't been this frustrated since my first playthrough.

Resorted to the RTsR but can't activate it unless I'm using a shield with 45% ltng. red. and he shoots ltng. at me; 50% won't quite activate the ring. But my only 45% ltng. red. shields are allowing all of O's charge attacks to 1-shot me right through them.

I need a break.

FF Tactics 1.3 was pretty easy imo. O+S you just need to be able to dodge especially on NG+5, my scavenger had a wonderful time - you have to be flawless. On a note, at least I go flawless on every boss now - I only used to go flawless on Seath, Gaping, Gargoyles, Four Kings, Sif, O+S, well you get it - It has helped me work out how to dodge nito and his skeletons with 1hp...

That's more like it. Apparently all I needed was a break. Back on track now. May do another hour or two on this guy tomorrow.

Decided to make an Infinity 6 on PS3 and I'm super excited about it. Couple of firsts for me: First time I've never had ANY ranged on a character, and first time I've ever used the Bastard Sword, which he is built around. Gonna make a Fire, lighting, and Divine Bastard.

SL9:

Vit ~ 12

Att ~ 8

End ~ 16

Str ~ 16

Dex ~ 10

Res ~ 11

Int ~ 8

Fai ~ 10

So far it's awesome having that 16 Endurance, but I'm not too confident about getting this guy to infinity with no att slots. On the other hand two very important shields are available to me on this guy that my XBL I6 can't use, the BK and Eagle shields.

Speaking of 'where they are,' I cleared +++++ today, so I'm on the final round. Once I finish this next playthrough I'll be at Infinity with my sl6 guy. Man I wish I could record vids... though I'm so camera-shy I'd probably die a hundred times.

What was your starting class & which weapons did you use exactly? (only their names will do)

Im thinking of starting out as a SL1 pyro , but a Bandit can allready make use of multiple weapons.. what would you recommend or prefer ?

I really wish I allready had a capture card myself. Should've bought it a long time ago when I still had money growing on my back lol :roll:

Now , I mostly got time to spend, Luckily time is the most valuable currency , and that's what I try to make prefect use of it.

Yeah I game a lot too man , I always love pulling all nighters in games so you are in perfect shape.

I just need a small break from time to time. But the thing is , my girlfriend also plays Dark Souls and we only have 1 XBOX :|

Pyro's what I did, but I only did it because at the time I'd never been a pyro before. Didn't realize at the time how handy those 2 attunement slots would be. Once I got him to the Burg I put all five points into dex so I could use those cool weapons you spoke of. There he sits still, sl 6. This challenge gets really hard sometimes, so it's important to be able to use weapons that you enjoy. I've considered doing an infinity run with an un-up'd sorcerer, but the lack of variety would get really tedious, I think.

Man, I think I just had the longest fight I've ever had in Dark Souls. Sif. He just kept spamming his double-swipe thing over and over and over and OVER. God that was exciting, especially somewhere around the 10 minute mark, when I thought of how much I had invested in the fight and how pissed I'd be if I got impatient and let him hit me. Made it though, thankfully.
