Would anyone like to explain to Serious? I find I am sadly low on this thing called patience today and don't want to.

I think it'd be easier to explain if Serious singled out exactly the specific things that confuse him. Just going "explain everything" is a steep hill to climb.

I read the OP, and it seems kinda like one of those game-book things or soem kind of board game but I'm not sure..

It's kind of like that. It's a game based on the random chance rolls of a 100-sided die that Rynn controls. Honestly, I'm learning as I go here too. So I may not be 100% on it either.

(The Cracked orbs raise an interesting point, how would invasions to host worlds work?)

After grabbing what loot I can, I see that the only way out is down into that same graveyard with - gulp! - those same skeleton bastards. Knowing that they have my number I attempt a mad dash to the safety of my bonfire before they can reform into fighting enemies.

(Cracked Red Eye Orbs will cause you to invade another "player", whom will be of appropriate strength for the area you invade in. You can go bring you level 90 char back to the Burg to be a **** if you really want to... but the reward would be rather low. I will be far more vicious when simulating players instead of AI.)

You suffer 56 damage from the fall. This is however irrelevant, as you reach the bonfire before having to face any combat.
Please replace one of your equiped weapons with the talisman now. You can only have 4 weapons at one time.

I'll have another shot at the B-Axe (also, better weapons) and the Estoc has served me well. I leave the Axe to the ground.

You slam the axe into the ground near the bonfire. It will hopefully be waiting for you when you return.

Now, with these bureaucratic side issues dealt with, it's time to get on with the adventure. As I make my way up to the aqueduct, I slink by ever so quietly and stealthily and hope to catch my first Hollow enemy unaware with an expertly placed firebomb to his body.

Lesser Hollow 1 is walking your way. It is looking at the body of the recently deceased Warrior.

I taunt him a little. After all the blond cleric taught me the gesture. Following that brief moment of levity I lead him down to my level where I await his swing, deflect what damage I can with my shield before I poke at him with my rapier.

(for future reference, I guess you were not here when I started noting it. [U] = unaware, has not seen you. H.A = Height Advantage...

Anyway.

You block 8 damage with your shield. While the enemy is stunned, you hit the Warrior twice with your rapier, killing it.

- Last one for me for a while. Heading to a bar to catch a soccer final.

Experience has taught me that the firebomber, despite being a grade-A jerk, will not pursue me, while the axe-wielding berserker will. I use this knowledge to advantage and I lure him down to my comfort zone where I just killed my last enemy.

I block his attacks as I bait him to try his heavy 2-handed ground-strike. When he goes for his strong attack I try to capitalize by getting behind him for a backstab.

You drag the Beserker back to the point on the hill.
(Fun fact, I am doing invisible rolls on what attack they use)

You block, taking 6 damage
You roll a 46.
You roll behind the beserker!
You roll an 85.
You fail the backstab, you default to an attack, killing the Beserker.

Hollow Warrior pulls out a firebomb.

I am now prepared to take on this thorn in my side firebomber, I attempt to dodge his firebomb and I use my last and final firebomb on him (I think everyone must be amazed at the originality of this here stategy :roll:), hopefully, killing him.

Honestly, it may be boring playing it safe like this but I'm sick dying. I want to make progress. It's high time the hero finds a new bonfire.

There is a staircase leading up along the aqua-ducts, there is a doorway leading into this aqua-duct as well. What do you do?

I take a firebomb to the face but I'm healthy enough to largely shrug off the damage. Leading up to the aqueduct I notice another Hollow footsoldier. He has the higher ground. I pull out my bow and try to get his attention with a well-placed arrow.

I'm not rolling any dice this time... I'm just gonna say you hit him in the head and he fell over the edge and died.

Then I'm gonna go to bed. I was just kind of posting quickly to show I didn't forget about this, or give up on it.

As I venture into the dark, damp, claustrophobic passages of the aqueduct, I notice there are two doorways. One is sealed shut, the other is flung wide open.

The choice is clear. I head left up an ominous stairway...

You head into the aquaduct. There is a rat behind you, it looks menacing, but it seems to have no interest in you, so you head onward and up a staircase, out of the water!

peaking above the stairs on your left indicates that there is a 2 enemies waiting for you! Both enemies are facing your direction, but do not seem to be aware to your precense. One sniffs it's hand absentmindedly.... Why are they just standing there? Don't they have anywhere to be?
