Re: Artorias and Gough
Eki.....I'm hoping Artorias is still following some semblance of nobility. I'd even take misguided but would prefer that we stop him unnecessarily making us the bad guy. The comments from From suggest he's a true villain but they could a trollin'

Re: Artorias and Gough
Weird thought -- maybe Artorias is missing his left arm completely inside his armor? The way it swings loosely in that one trailer suggests it might be hollow.

He must have gotten a discount then. Everyone else has to pay an arm AND a leg for that armor set.

The name Sif is used for females, its safe to assume Sif is a her.

I'm sure Gough can see. Otherwise he wouldn't be called hawkeye.
Something just happened to Artorias arm.

Re: Artorias and Gough
Look at this pircture of Artorias. You can see that there his a giant hole in his left upper arm.

Now I really think that his left arm is dead.

Maybe they called him Hawkeye to tease him
Back to the Four Knights having disabilities, I was talking to my friend the other day and we thought, "What if the longer the Knights are away from Anor Londo, the more physically weak they get?"
This could explain Ornstein's lack of handicap, Gough being blind, and Artorias having a gimp arm. Dunno what Ciaran's would be though.

Oh, sorry I'm new to making threads on forums. Is it not allowed to post something when the thread is dead?

Usually when a thread is dead it means we've moved on from the topic.

BishopHavel has gone the way of the Gravelord!
I don't think there's a rule against necroing. Thank god, cause I'm constantly reviving my Video Database, lol.

I thought like this too, so when I noticed his armour was broken on the upper arm, I just went back to this thread lol.

Re: Artorias and Gough
You know I like that theory OP, I had another smaller one.
I think that each knight represents a different attack type. While 2 of them are obvious, 1 is likely, the last one is only possible.
Ornstein is lightning
Artorias is magic
Gough is physical (as indicated by the Greatbow, and how all bows are much better as +15, even at low levels, they are much more solid, however, he may have his own special one.)
Ciaran is fire (there is no evidence for this, but if you were to go purely for backstabs, and not use buffs, you would want to use a Chaos weapon, just saying)
I'm not defending that theory like crazy, just a thought.
I also thought about these while reading this.
I think that perhaps Sif and Artorias may have existed at the same time, each is a part of the 'man' that was once Artorias. When this potential curse happened, it shattered him into that shadow-torias, and Sif. There is no reason the ring that says Alvina was friends with them both means that Sif isn't Artorias. Not because Darktorias and Sif would be friends with her, but because you can be friends with two different people at once. The wording indicates that it could be possible, because of the word "was" which means that they could be friends at different times. Sif might also just be an adorable puppy when we get the DLC, who knows?

Re: Artorias and Gough
Regarding Sif and Artorias being the same being...
I was in New Londo last night and when I talked to the Sealer and when he references Artorias and the Abyss he says something like
"Seek Artorias for answers". I wish I knew the exact dialogue but I immediately thought of Sif and the wounded leg

Sorry for second post but I found the dialogue
"If you can find him, and learn from him, the Abyss may prove surmountable"

Re: Artorias and Gough
Artorias the Abysswalker, known for his will of steel.
The creature is blue and black, with a uniform like many knights of Gwyn. The sheer difference is that he is the greatest swordsman of them all. More similar to Black Knights than Silver Knights, he is designed to give heavy blows and to absorb the heaviest as well.
His helm is similar to a bird or a dragon, and like all knights follows a similar exoskeleton as them... Or at least those from the stone dragon. He has a stem of black hair on top, and is both faithful and intelligent, tying links towards the great Velka herself. Designated the wolf, he is the most loyal of them all.
Curious how serpents are tied to the Abyss are also tied to fire as well. Perhaps the link of serpent to witch is what lead the wolf down to become part of the lesser divine. As he was first hunting the Darkwraiths, and then seems to become cursed later on, perhaps the minion of a witch, and the absence of both her and the king, lead towards the knight thinking that what he was doing was the will of what he seems to tie to the most, and sees betrayal in the king.
