Connected Dreams

I am starting this thread to talk about dreams that seem to be connected. I dont mean having the same dream over and over, but instead having a dream that seems to continue its story on another night.

For examlpe:

This may sound wierd but the other night, I had a dream that I was in school and we were looking through a computer database in order to find the closest safe-house in case a bad storm like a tornado would hit the school. A few days later I had a dream that I was at my house and a tornado was actually in the area and I was searching through that same computer database to find a safe-house.

Do dreams like this have any meaning? Did anybody else ever have connected dreams? My Chemistry teacher once said that maybe there are such things as alternate realities. He said that maybe what we dream is actually our real life, and our real life is our dreams. Could he be right? Maybe you only see part of your real life through your dreams, because your alternate dream world is a better life than your real life. And maybe people that dont have dreams, or havent had a dream in a while, died in their actual life, and are just moving on through your dreams. I know it may sound confusing, but...... its possible.

Perhaps you dreamed about the tornado a second time , because you were actively thinking about your previous dream involving the tornado before falling asleep.

Or maybe you have been giving that first dream a lot of thought lately ?

Specific dreamscenario's don't have a proven meaning & every dream-recipient might interpretate the same dream you were experiencing in a completely different way.

Dreams are created by the thoughts that are on your mind the most , it might even come from your sub-consious mind , so you wouldn't directly link it with your direct thoughts.

I would also like to mention that I had a recurring dream once , when I was 10 or 11. It wasn't exactly the same dream twice , but more of a sequel. I think it has never occured again eversince.

Gah, I've never had any dreams that are connected to each other. But it's always an interesting subject when someone brings up the nature of a dream.

From what I've been told dreams are sequences in which are brain pieces together information as we sleep, but I'm sure I'm wrong on this as it's not something I've ever put much effort into understanding.

There is a good film on this subject called Waking Life it explores the nature of dreams and the possibility of controlling our dreams. When I was younger and heavy into weed I hardly ever dreamed. When I stopped using weed my dreams became very vivid, like the flood gates of my brain opened. For a while I would write my dreams down when I woke up to see if there was a pattern on what I dreamed. The only thing I noticed is I would glide about 10 feet of the ground in most of my dreams. Turns out that's pretty common in most peoples dreams.
