And that is why knowledge of science is just as good as religion and everything else

I don't think this is about religion. It is about science. Just because one of the theories puts the origin of life in a different sphere does not make it a religious argument.
We are not talking about morality or rituals.

Re: Creation or Darwinism ?
I really like what Acidic said like wao! really. It is a good way of saying it although I differ in a few details.
On man degenerating. I would say nature as a whole is degenerating slowly. Even the starts and the galaxies will die one day. Dark matter and black holes will be the final "species" left.
In the past 150 years man has rebounded because he once again started getting knowledge and turning their backs on superstition. Before man started to control his inner space he was ravaged and destroyed. living short lives. Not everywhere but life expectancy was much less than it is today.
With that said, I can't believe in the part of Darwin's theory that all living things come from a common ancestor.
The only thing that is factual in what I know about Darwin's theory is that Natural selection does occur. It is plain to see.
I agree very much with Ziko how nature is predetermined and programmed to function in a very specific way. Almost all deviations (mutation) from the instruction set (DNA and all the things that affect it and are related to DNA, there is a lot of new information on that topic)surely leads to death.
Nice topic.

Re: Creation or Darwinism ?
Too much fear, too much grasp on what you know, can be a fragile thing. I think it is best to always be open minded, as well as see everything in grey. And trust me, I think the world is good as it is, and I think that if you see the world at an acceptable view you can love it more so than if you were in total ignorance... Which I found to be not a delighting place to be in.
But to each their own. I was going to defend myself darkness but it reached towards a theory about multiple universes and creation in terms of atoms and universes... On an iPod I think that is unwise to type, when the apple watches. Maybe some other time

Agreed its always nice to think that progress is being made and we are becoming more enlightened all the time. I just dont see all knowledge as "good" knowledge rather instead "necessary" knowledge and "unnecessary" knowledge.

And that, my friend, is where we bow in agreement; what is necessary knowledge, what is not? After a while I had excluded myself only to knowledge that I deem necessary... That means I lost all aspect of religion, science, pop culture in general, politics, and other means... Such knowledge of things has turned to be unnecessary at times, and if it were it was secondary or less. Other aspects of the world have better things to look upon.
Funny, because I seem to talk about those things a lot. Funny how things come and around

I can second that , if you start swimming in the see of knowledge , there will never be an end in sight.
it's been over a year and a half ago that I ''studied'' something new and before that Ive only been busy with Nutrition for a long time,
now I just chill 8)
But for a lot of people , gathering knowledge on a daily basis is the only thing that makes them happy , it's actually their goal in life !
In the earlier days of man a large percentage of population has always been studying or inventing , nowadays things are completely different because people want to settle , relax and own property.
Today , we just have to leave these things to professional scientists because WE don't get payed for thinking & inventing

Re: Creation or Darwinism ?
Maybe not money... Money is not the only reward you can obtain, I assure you.
And I don't think arguing the rest would change any views... And I search for knowledge all the time. The difference is that the knowledge I seek is a subject that many see as myth and at times insane.
To think of ways of how things can exist is a great satisfaction to invent life, NL. You just have to think of the right way how, a way that satisfies and suits the being as a whole. Such qualities of beings can only be satisfied with knowledge that suits the being and their own search for understanding.

Re: Creation or Darwinism ?
What was that movie where a girl was sent to an asylum after she saw her sister and mother die, and later came and killed the nurse that was screwing her dad and was cheating on her mother? I can't remember what it was called.
But it is a good example I think
