Best weapons for Faith builds

I've been looking around the forums and couldn't find this topic, if it has been discussed then sorry guys.
With my build I have 50 faith so I was trying to find some good weapons to use for the modifiers. I've seen people say a lot of different things when it comes to this topic but I landed on sunlight straight sword and Ricard's Raper.
SSS at divine+10 giving; 137phy170mag110div with a modifier of B faith.
RR at +5 Occult gives; 125phy132mag110occ with a modifier of A faith.

I would like to see what other heavy faith builds are using and what they think is the best weapons and miracles to use.

Pick your best weapon that your stats fit (dex scaling weapons or str scaling weapons), get them to +15, and light them up with DMB or SLB. IMO, Divine and Occult are less powerful than unbuffed +15s (with appropriate stats that is). When you buff them . . . watch out.

Speaking of which, what're your stats, rings, and armor?

EDIT: weapons that have multiple types of damage are usually weaker than those with only one. So, weapons that have damage split between magic and physical, are weaker. This is because of they go through two reductions in damage, based on your opponent's defenses.

Uchigatana+15 with SLB (after reading your tip) and sunlight talisman
Grass Crest shield
Mask of the Child
Brass armor+5
Havels Gauntlets
Brass Legs+5
FAP ring and DWG ring
SL 107 Vit 25 Att 16 End 27 Str 24 Dex 25 Res 12 Int 9 Fth 50
Stats a lil all over because of experimentation and playing mostly PvE

I have an Occult Halberd +5 at 50 Faith, and it's a more than decent weapon, with more than 550 AR. I also buff a +14 BSS and a +15 Clay with DMB but I only have 16 Str and 14 Dex.

I was just about to suggest Dvine Gargoyle's Halberd +10. Thats what I use for a faith build usually, as a secondary weapon. 570 AR with 50 faith, and a little added bleed resist and poison resist

The trick is, have weapons with base stats (str and dex) and buff them with DMB. Once DMB runs out, menu swap ANY occult/divine weapon you like. From spears to great scythes, katanas to zweihs.

That's exactly what I do on my DM Wyrm. I second that strategy for OP.

You can't look at weapon AR. That doesn't compute to actual damage. For example, Elemental weapons generally are weaker than +15s, even though their ARs are higher. And, if you run into someone with decent magic defense, you're in serious trouble.

The best thing to do is a damage test. If you can't find a person to do it, the humanoid enemies in the Forest are a reasonable alternative.

IMO, pure physical is where it's at. When I've tried the Divine or Occult at faith 50, I wasn't happy with the damage. I'd at least have a +15 as a backup, in case your Divine or Occult isn't cutting it.

Yeah, that's why I keep elemental weapons as secondary for when a buff runs out (if I'm playing a buff build). Faith or Int is usually much higer than dex or str on these build types, so even though it's split damage, a max level divine/enchanted etc weapon usually still outdamges a +15, because of the lower str or dex (for example - this )

I'm gonna try giving the occult Ricard's Rapier and crescent axe a shot.

In terms of stat investment, you've got a good point. Dark, what's your target SL? You've got Str and Dex evenly spaced. The Clay might be a good weapon here (might, I'm not sure).

Basically, weapon choice should be weapon first, then upgrade second. My favorites are:

Long list, I know. But, those are my favorites. You'll get a variety of opinions here.

DMB is much better It also scales with you Darkmoon Covenant level, so if you offer souvenir of reprisals to Gywndolin to get your level to +2 it will be even stronger.

Also, I agree with Reim - Claymore would be good for you

SLB for coolness, but DMB is more powerful.

I am a fan of the greatswords, been using a Fire zweihander mostly and I love it.
Hmm ok so DMB a +15claymore and I'll stick an occult rapier in my pocket for later.
I'm aiming for SL 125 and allocating the rest of my points in End and Vit.

I enjoy my Crescent Axe a lot on my Faith guy. Not the best damage, or moveset, but with 50 faith it does the job. Plus, I think it looks cool, and extra points for not being quite as common a weapon, in my experience.
Basically it is a Battle Axe, with split divine damage based largely on faith stat, and a long handle/shaft that gives it deceptively long reach for its type. You cannot buff it, though.

DMB in fact is worse - can be completely nullified by Greater Magic Barrier and people tend to have higher magic resist than lightning.

But because AR has increasing returns, wouldn't the damage boost on DMB compensate for the higher magic defense? And who really carries great magic barrier around? I think they're equally balanced all things said.

I walk around with GMB - I have it to counter CMW and DMB - it also ruins WoG etc and Divine, Occult, Enchanted and magic weapons.
